- Comment on [Discussion] The Meals Of A Single Woman (26) At Her Limit - Ch. 26 [END] 3 days ago:
Read all the chapters in one go, and I noticed what the author might have cooked up had this not gotten the axe.
An wasn’t depressed at when she met Hiiragi. An was just overwhelmed, but this meeting set-up An’s presence in Hiiragi’s life. It was An’s infectious cheerfulness and plucky attitude that got rubbed off Hiiragi. Even the manager’s gruff and no-nonsense attitude helped as well.
Shiriaishi likely would have been Hiiragi’s foil, and would have served a couple of purposes: to remind Hiiragi of her progress thus far, and a way for her to pay it forward. Shiraishi would also help An move forward by identifying (through analogy, I suppose) which areas she would need more work in–not through rumination, but by witnessing someone else act in the way they’ve been acting.

“Instantiation” would be my guess.

But Peking duck is known as part of Chinese cuisine, right?
Ah hell, I’ll take it. Peking duck slices on sushi rice, or a peking duck rice bowl with char siu sauce or whatever. Maybe char siu-stuffed nigiri. Think of the possibilities!!

I’ve got to go think about it for a second, and then I get to realize what it meant.
- Comment on Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2 • Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou 2nd Season - Episode 2 discussion 2 months ago:
I remember making an essay about how Boxxo had some issues he had to deal with first, and how I am looking forward to the anime showing him dealing with those issues with the help of Huelmy, Lammis, Michael (who seems to be the most well-adjusted guy in the group–if it weren’t for his speaking hang-ups), and the others.
I remember noting that Boxxo doesn’t even mind remaining a vending machine forever, and likely doesn’t even want to turn back to being a human. And that not getting telepathy is a sign of this.

Thank you, congratulations for the two years, and may this instance go on in the best condition for many more years to come without admins being burnt out.
- Comment on What is the cutoff distance when you point and say [thing] is "here" or [thing] is "there"? 3 months ago:
I’ve always thought the cut-off is whether it’s near the speaker (“here”) or near the person being spoken to (“there”). My native language has a three-way distinction (near the speaker (“dito”), near the person spoken to (“diyan”), far from both (“doon”)), so it’s pretty easy to just collapse it to “here” and “there”.

Only for a limited amount of time, kenja time.

Thanks!! It’s really noticeable, at least as far as I’m concerned. And I hope that even if you guys take your time, the new applicants will understand the delay (hell, perhaps even expect some delays because this is not in any way an ordinary situation).
Glad to be here too, thanks!

Lemm.ee refugee here. I made my account over twenty-four hours ago, and was expecting that the registration will take time to be processed since at the time I made my application, this instance is among the most recommended. I was expecting the admins to be swamped. I was pleasantly surprised when I went back to my e-mails, an e-mail confirmation request was waiting, and just minutes after my confirmation, my registration was approved.
I am very thankful for the swift response, and thankful for the way this instance is ran (my primary reason choosing this over the others–it reminds me of lemm.ee in a good way).
Again, thanks!
