Thank you, this is super helpful! I have a small terrarium set up and I’d love to add some of these beauties to it.

This is not accurate. I wasn’t going to comment except that it is the top reply and I don’t want misinformation to be spread if someone comes across this later.
The vent kit, including the hose, comes from the kiln manufacturer and is designed for this specific kiln which is intended for domestic use. I linked the kit in my post.
The vent takes in room air in addition to the kiln air and the temperature of the discharge is less than 160 F, or 71 C.
And yes, my homeowner’s insurance is aware of the kiln.
- Comment on Building a removable kiln vent outlet 2 weeks ago:
The comment about the electrical wires was maybe a bit silly and emotional lol. The temperature is controlled by the number of holes drilled in the kiln, so if I follow the instructions I believe it will be reasonable.
The vent kit does come with the actual exterior part, like a drier vent:
I will probably swap the rain hood for one designed for a drier, as those typically come with back draft dampers and metal caging. I’m not too worried about animals getting in when the fan is on, but I’m not really basing that on anything.
The install instructions do have recommendations on when to switch to PVC pipe from the flexible duct, so I will be sure to follow those.
Thanks!

Hold up - I feel like I always see tillandsia as air plants. It never dawned on me that I could put them on a medium. Does it draw water from the medium or do you still need to spray/soak it??
I feel like my failure with air plants comes from never remembering to soak them/spray them whereas I can generally remember to water my other plants. This opens up whole new worlds for me lol

Oh! Yeah, it will be handy for sure. My floats are finicky so I get a lot of air entrainment. Having the check below the water line lets me add a tiny hole for air to escape and correct that.
- Comment on Sump Pump - Part 2 2 weeks ago:
Amazing! The flex coupling is smart af, it’s so much easier when you want to take the pump out.
I’ve been slowly optimizing my set up. My next step is to create an interconnect to allow both pumps to discharge to one line (currently three pumps, two lines) so that I have redundancy should one of the lines freeze or clog. I have issues with iron ochre, so clogging is an issue for me. Hopefully freezing isn’t but who knows lol.

Is someone going to repackage every single leninaide bottle to a slightly different name while still making reference to leninaide?
- Comment on what are the grievances with the "male loneliness epidemic"? 1 month ago:
Two criticisms that come to mind are:
- the cause of the epidemic is the patriarchy, therefore it’s men’s own fault, i.e. the rigid gender roles and “man up attitude” are within the power of individual men to overcome and they just need to um… man up and break down those barriers.
- the cause of the epidemic is men trying to cling to the benefits they would have otherwise under the patriarchy and it’s a reaction to non-men having more status and freedom.
(Before you hit reply please remember OP didn’t ask for an discussion on if these are real or correct - just what some of the criticisms are. I’m not saying I buy into either of them.)

I can’t tell if this is a brilliant shitpost reply to pretty good shitpost or if it’s a genuine reply to a pretty good shitpost that still manages to out-shitpost the original.
Either way, I’ve been fundamentally changed by this experience and realize how much more work I have before I can claim mastery over this art.

Cops don’t exist to protect you and they don’t have to be physically fit to serve their purpose: using the threat of violence and the prison industrial complex to protect the interests of capital.
