My previous account was @dumblederp@aussie.zone I left it because Rowling has turned out to be a pretty shitty person and I don’t want the association.
Mostly I’m just here for idle friendly conversation over shared interests.
I can get caught up in my own stubbornness on some topics.
- Comment on Australia Post rival shuts operations without warning 4 days ago:
Sent and received dozens of things with sendle without issue. Cheap and slow delivery was my experience.
- Comment on Meta blocked nearly 550,000 accounts in first days of Australia’s under-16s social media ban 5 days ago:
Australia should block meta.
- Comment on Man who failed to remove backyard cheese facility told to pay $120,000 1 week ago:
Small scale domestic cheese production would be fine. I doubt this article and $120k fine are for a small scale operation.
- Comment on Rise in holiday measles infections sparks health alerts in NSW, SA and Victoria 1 week ago:
Fkn cookers.
- Comment on Man who failed to remove backyard cheese facility told to pay $120,000 1 week ago:
Sounds like Old Mate’s trampled on a bunch of council rules then decided he didn’t need to follow the court orders about said trampling. He had years to work it out and didn’t. The language barrier is no excuse at all.
- Comment on ABC journalist Laura Tingle claims the mess left behind at Coogee Beach yesterday 'had nothing to do with backpackers' 2 weeks ago:
I wonder how St Kilda Beach fared? It gets hammered too.
- Comment on Magic mushroom use rises despite concerns about little known paralysis syndrome 3 weeks ago:
Worked security at bush doofs for years and never saw this. Would’ve kept an eye on thousands of trippers, probably in the tens of thousands.
- Comment on The Clown Show: grifting, lies & AI after the Bondi massacre 4 weeks ago:
Isn’t that what Tanuki is doing here too?
- Comment on Christmas Present Inspiration Thread 4 weeks ago:
I’m all about lego flowers this year.
- Comment on Thousands Sign Petition Calling For Man Who Tackled Bondi Shooting Gunman To Be Australian Of The Year 4 weeks ago:
He’ll get an award for heroism, it shouldn’t be Australian of the year.
- Comment on Breaking: NSW Police responding to reports of shooter at Bondi Beach 4 weeks ago:
To be fair to shooters, if you’re a farmer or game shooter you’ll need different firearms. It’s a bit like owning six different sized spanners. The number of guns isn’t the issue, it’s the use.
- Comment on Breaking: NSW Police responding to reports of shooter at Bondi Beach 4 weeks ago:
Just conspiracy satire, seagoon’s great.

Hey mate, you need to fuck off some more. Then fuck off again.

I know you’re probably getting hassle comments about these laws and policies. I hope everyone on the site appreciates these bullshit hoops you’re being made to jump through. You could just shut the site down and be done with it.

Mum had a Compaq with a 5.25" in the side of the screen. Ran Zork and some lame work shit she needed.

Massively adult take right here.
- Comment on Australian diet set to worsen as national food policy is drawn up by profit-driven industry, experts warn 1 month ago:
Our government has been bought.
- Comment on 150 police visits in 20 months: Indigenous mother takes action after her boys subjected to ‘relentless’ checks 2 months ago:
Fucking disgusting.
Even from a dystopian point of view at that point they may as well have ankle monitors, 150 visits from 3-6 cops would’ve cost a fortune. Now that I write that out I reckon the cops have found an overtime loophole.
- Comment on Nearly 90% of jobseekers unable to get long-term work despite millions spent on private job agencies 2 months ago:
Ditch the lot and move to UBI. The few people I know who are long term unemployed would do better with support rather than the light dehumanisation of forced job searching.
When I was with a JSA, they recommended the same factory job every month for ten months until I found myself a job.
- Comment on What is Red Rover, to you? 2 months ago:
Depends on the numbers but usually there’d be 25% in the middle and 75% trying to run from one side to the other. Everyone taken down gets added to the middle.
It might’ve been aus kick, I never got into AFL. I remember going a few times and being amazed that kids I went to school with knew all this footy stuff cos their families did.
- Comment on What is Red Rover, to you? 2 months ago:
Oh for sure but it was absolutely 10yo demolition derby.
- Comment on What you need to know about why house prices aren't coming down 2 months ago:
They want to sell their house to pay for the nursing home or leave it to their kids. They don’t want it to lose half its value.
- Comment on What is Red Rover, to you? 2 months ago:
British bulldogs for pussies.
- Comment on Petition: Australian writer sentenced to death in China 3 months ago:
I feel bad for the dude but don’t go to China. Especially don’t go if you’re critical of their government who are well known for their brutal approach to criticism.
- Comment on what is up with u/dwazoup 4 months ago:
Probably some nub trialing a bot they’re writing.
- Comment on Australia, why are you still obsessed with freeways – when they’re driving us away from net zero? 5 months ago:
Gina looks at America like that. She fucking loathes having to pay FIFO rates for workers.
- Comment on What would be ancient ways to properly store vitamin C? 5 months ago:
Potatoes aren’t too bad a source IIRC.
- Comment on Battlefield 6 players are crying out for a 'real' server browser, and it's about time we demanded the basic FPS feature that Call of Duty killed 5 months ago:
BF6 is the only thing keeping me on windows. If they don’t include a server browser I’m not buying it.
- Comment on Butter made from carbon tastes like the real thing, gets backing from Bill Gates 5 months ago:
Sounds like more of an actual air fryer. Maybe they can cook stuff in fatty gas rather than dropping it in oil.
