- Comment on Admins, can you update the sidebar to note it's shutting down? 5 days ago:
there already is an announcement pinned at the top of the front page, I'm fairly sure more people are going to notice that than the sidebar.

so... pay for hosting a website for an unspecified amount of time, until an unspecified goal ("Lemmy matures") is reached, just in case the admins, who have stated that they've (justifiably) lost interest in managing the instance, suddenly change their mind, and don't mind having to catch up first with whatever the current version of Lemmy will be at that point, with who-knows-what breaking changes introduced?

it's announcement saying that Interstellar now works with Piefed: https://interstellar.jwr.one/

the team's been doing a great job with the instance. it's sad to see it shut down, but I also respect that they recognise that admin job isn't doing them any good and leave before it causes more harm and burnout; there's so many people out there who don't seem to be capable of such insight.
my Piefed adventure was supposed to be temporary just to see what's what, but I guess I'm stuck here for good now, heh

that website screams the 2000’s 😂.
no third party scripts, no ads, isn't trying to sign me up for a newsletter, loads almost instantly.

I don't think Loops counts, it's not federated yet.

they don't seem to have a website, the closest I could find was https://tinydicehouse.com/pages/tiny-dice-buddies which just tells you to find them on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

I've been sceptical about joggers at first, but now I cannot imagine wearing or buying anything else. a string instead of a button is such a quality of life improvement on its own.
