  I had a cat a while back, and when I travelled for a few weeks, my sister, who lives in the same building would make sure she’s fed and the litter cleaned etc and spend a bit of time with her. However, my sister told me that Pickett (cat) seemed depressed, and true enough when I got back she gave me attitude for a few weeks, and so I adopted Snowy for her. He basically taught her how to play again, since she’d been seemingly wanting to grow into old age and just sit on my lap and doze happily for hours.

  But, I also had another cat in Dubai decades earlier, and she was quite happy being alone. In fact, she didn’t like anyone but me (she was a rescue).

But that’s okay as Israel doesn’t see Palestinians as humans, right?> Israel is exempt from international laws and norms because decades ago an Austrian bastard murdered millions of Jews.   In our case, we’d love the army to be able to do it’s job and depend us. The Gulf Arab states can go fuck themselves with the high tech weapons they don’t even know how to use. I agree in time if things remain as is, a new group will emerge, especially given the nature of the new drone warfare.

  Do you think they would gain independence without the sacrifices of people killed by occupation?> Personally no, being from the middle east I’ve seen what “democracy” brings to the region. Lebanon, as an example, are not allowed to purchase any weapons that can ever be a threat to Israel, how is that being a soverign state? The world is run on the “might is right rule” and I don’t have any answers as to how that can change.

  No one’s ever stopped them before, and it’s unlikely anyone ever will. This is a good step for Lebanon internally. Unfortunately, I have very little hope for this or any other “positives” as long as Israel continues down their decades long genocidal expansionist path.

  As a Lebanese, this is very welcome news,if it can actually be done. It’s a good first step, but that’s all it is, a first step. Hopefully one day we can talk about their right of return as well, although I won’t be holdingmy breath.

  Calling a spade a spade has never deterred Israel, the dark chapter of the holocaust has given Israel a get out card for every crime against humanity for decades. Add to that the insane American evangelical movement that pushes their rapture narrative in blind support to Israel means it’s unlikely the Palastinian people will ever know peace and a homeland.
