Ah, salmon farms seem to be like student housing, we all know it’s awful but once capitalism gets the balls rolling on some money-printing scam it seems unstoppable.

Which images/scenes do you think are AI generated?
- Comment on How does one become a entrepreneur? 1 week ago:
For me that word has negative connotations, not quite a scammer but someone who is not doing honest work but doing some kind of capitalist bs that is only good for themselves, very likely on the expense of others, so I wouldn’t (want to) know.

From a cursory glance it looks lile they might work with gadget bridge:
Which can do auto export which you could maybe feed into selfhosted solutions like the mentioned wanderer? There’s also Dawarich, not sure if that would make sense here.

How is the design and flow of Peertube different from YT, can you give e few examples? For me they are super similar (there’s a video feed, I click on one, I get a page with videos that has comments and related videos).

Have you looked at European politics, recently? As always they’re behind what the US does but they sure are trying, we have fascists (and not a small number) in the parliament here in Germany.

Interesting, I would love a service that periodically checks my wishlist in Steam to see which of them is available on GOG, but could not find anything, do you perhaps now something like that?
- Comment on Framework greatly expand their open source event and Linux distribution sponsorships 2 months ago:
Geeez, that’s no good. It’s beyond me how you wouldn’t just go: “O shit, sorry, we didn’t realise these people were so problematic, we’ll try to do better research next time, thanks for making us aware of this” (plus the “here’s who we sponsored” that they actually did). Problem solved (except for a few fasch snowflakes maybe boycotting them). They must have weighed these options (I hope) and decided to go with the fascists instead of being descent human beings? Thats bonkers to me but I guess I’m not running a business in the US … (which apparently means you need to be a spineless bootlicker nowadays - and then leopards eat your face anyway 👌).
- Comment on Framework greatly expand their open source event and Linux distribution sponsorships 2 months ago:
Ah, you mean Rails World, right? Did they (the conference) actually go ahead with having DHH as a speaker? I thought big sponsors cancelled after that was announced?
It is unfortunate that Framework lists Rails World and doesn’t specify if this about the past conference or if they plan to sponsor the next one.

I thought they were “only” fans and didn’t give him money, what did I miss? (I kinda hoped they would come to their senses but this sounds like they didn’t?)

I’m always an episode late for these but I just wanted to say that this is perfect if you want a cosy slice of live anime about making art (manga in this case). (The yuri I somehow thought this had is basically non-existant, unfortunately, though.)

Do you have any data on that? This rando article says otherwise:

And the examples given seem to mostly involve dogs which makes me kinda lean towards “It’s the human’s fault (cause they did not know how to control their dog(s))”
