- Comment on Ad blocking is alive and well, despite Chrome's attempts to make it harder 17 hours ago:
even in the real world you are bombarded by ads from every angle
I despise the digital billboards that now litter highways and roads that gets congested during rush hours. And especially at night when they just ignore brightness laws and blinding everyone and endangering drivers.

This cloud is pretty nice though
- Comment on Turns out my gaming skills are useless in another world! 1 week ago:
It must be out there. With how Mich light novels get churn out someone must have tried it.
So either it got buried and never got traction, or it was so badly done nobody tried it again.
- Comment on Before social media/internet/cell phones/landlines/payphones; how would 2 friends living across the same city arrange in person meetings and stay in touch? 1 week ago:
In school. We used to plan where we want to go on certain date and time and just meet there. Admittedly this was still a time with a landline and payphones and my part of the world was just getting cellphones but that’s for middle to upper class.

I love zen browser and its workspaces. I just cannot use any other Firefox forks anymore without it. It’s more than just containers in Firefox.
- Comment on AI boom could falter without wider adoption, Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns 2 weeks ago:
My gripe with calling LLMs AI is it makes it harder to discuss enemy AI behaviour in video games lol.

Bend backwards and ponder your shiny orb of a head, Nadella. That’s the whole point.
- Comment on Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai are cowards - X’s deepfake porn feature clearly violates app store guidelines. Why won’t Apple and Google pull it? 3 weeks ago:
It goes earlier than that debacle for me but I honestly do not remember anymore.
If they’ve turned a new leaf then hey good for them.
- Comment on 'Microslop' is heading for Edge – major browser redesign is inspired by Copilot, and it's already seriously unpopular 4 weeks ago:
I see. I mean I can’t really fault them but it does put the brakes on when I got hit. It still isn’t working to get me to pay, personally.

- Comment on 'Microslop' is heading for Edge – major browser redesign is inspired by Copilot, and it's already seriously unpopular 4 weeks ago:
Oh didn’t know Edge has workspace that functions similar to Firefox multi container. Not that I am going to change to Edge, but it’s still neat.

I thought hover play functionality can be turned off in youtube settings?
But as I was typing this, I realised it’s useful for non logged in youtube, I assume.

Agree on waterfox’s android icon looking bland lol. and a lot of icon packs don’t have an icon for waterfox and still not making it despite requests.

I’d like to run local LLM with ethical models some day, if there’s such models.
- Comment on No AI* Here - A Response to Mozilla's Next Chapter - Waterfox Blog 1 month ago:
It gets the job done enough to understand the jist for me, yeah. But mostly I only do short posts. A language like Japanese makes it just a lot harder from what I understand from friends that learned the language. IIRC it’s because the language relies on unspoken context and of course its grammar making machine translation trip.
- Comment on No AI* Here - A Response to Mozilla's Next Chapter - Waterfox Blog 1 month ago:
Translation is my main use. Yes, the caveat that AI is 50/50 wrong is still there but at least I don’t have to pester friends that know the language for everything. I only use it for unimportant things.
- Comment on It just keeps getting worse - Firefox to "evolve into a modern AI browser" 1 month ago:
Zen can still use Firefox sync to sync between desktop and mobile. Just have to use a firefox based mobile browser that didn’t cut out firefox sync. I’m personally use Waterfox on Android, and Zen on Windows. My plan to move to linux by buying a new 2TB SSD is kind of on hold for now…
- Comment on It just keeps getting worse - Firefox to "evolve into a modern AI browser" 1 month ago:
While Zen has their own mods page that works better with it, Firefox extensions work well.

- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 2 months ago:
I remember hear8ng during the development of the first steam controller, valve have put in a trackball emulator or behavior (whatever it’s called. I’m playing my “English is my second language” card) for the track pads.
I assume they didn’t abandon that and did put it as a configuration for the steam deck, and again still assuming, for the new controller.
If I’m wrong I’m happy to be politely corrected.
Also, hello fellow trackball companion 👋🏾

Maybe I’m just misunderstanding the quote, but I’m pretty sure regional pricing have been around at least since 2010s.
Maybe I should RTFA

- Comment on Superhero stories have become less about saving people and more about fighting villains. 4 months ago:
I recently watched that Superman movie and liked it. I couldn’t figure out exactly why, but I think it is because he’s helping others.
I was a bit hesitant prior because of MCU fatigue, but I’m glad I watched it. MCU ended for me at whenever Thanos was truly defeated. I can’t even remember the movie.
