- Comment on The New York Times Just Published Some Bizarre Race Science About Asian Women 3 days ago:
capitalist mutual masturbation and manufactured cognitive dissonance / distraction so they don’t have to actually change anything and effect profit potential. while they wait for daddy dictator trump to open their proposals in the form of a cotton sack with a dollar sign on the side.

- Comment on Russia to enforce location tracking app on all foreigners in Moscow 1 week ago:
I mean … same already in the US too with existing phones. This just ensures russia has access to foreign phones. Honestly something I can see dictator Trump hearing and saying “oh good idea”. Sigh.
- Comment on ‘It’s real y’all’: People are sharing their tariff receipts, and my wallet is not ready for what’s coming 1 week ago:
it’s manufactured consent to keep ire away from the dictator doing the tariffs and on the corporations. i can only hope it radicalizes some into realizing the problem is capitalism that dictates how the corps react to the tariffs.
- Comment on ‘It’s real y’all’: People are sharing their tariff receipts, and my wallet is not ready for what’s coming 1 week ago:
i thought the tariff charges would make the owners feel the pain until the jobs became local. why am I being charged more??
/s of course.

tip; sleep with your bedroom door closed. you’d be very surprised at how much time it can buy to get out alive. of course also CHANGE YOUR DETECTOR BATTERIES too. :)
source: am firefighter. it’s amazing how soot covered a hallway can be and tenable a bedroom can be with its door closed.
- Comment on 7 for me 1 week ago:
I’m a firefighter and I sleep like 20. Just get good. :)

well to be honest at 32 I didn’t figure I would marry again. Though I did years later. My wife now understands as much as one can and knows my wishes. (cremate. 50 in first plot 50 anywhere else. :) )
- Comment on Happens 1 week ago:
i rambled the other day about how I already have a headstone in the ground with my name on it; my first wife died when I was 32. Said it’s easy, I’ll just make sure I “go” right in front of it so nobody has to worry about cleanup. Was joking in a dark way, around my peer firefighters. Realized there were teens listening who were boggled I have a stone already. I’m fine.
- Comment on Saudi Arabia has big AI ambitions. They could come at the cost of human rights 2 weeks ago:
could? saudia arabia? any organization hoping to make a buck in this system, at a large enough scale, WILL cost human rights. this is how the system is designed.
- Comment on Netflix will show generative AI ads midway through streams in 2026 2 weeks ago:
yeah it’s not like Smith predicted this but yeah … it’s certainly not human nature either.
i’d be happy if shareholders, all of them, were held criminally responsible for the criminal things corporations do - all the way down to wage theft and child labor.
- Comment on Netflix will show generative AI ads midway through streams in 2026 2 weeks ago:
the word is actually “capitalism.” it’s baked into its dna.
- Comment on Why aren't Americans filling the manufacturing jobs we already have? 2 weeks ago:
when eggs are rare the price of eggs goes up. the same holds with labor. the issue is not americans filling jobs, it’s employers paying proper wages for them.
oh no, profit will take a hit? where is your priority? that’s right, it’s to the shareholders. :/

Mine is vomit and sometimes, I guess related, the “coffee grounds” that can appear during CPR of someone having airway/gi troubles. We got rosc on the last guy so, it’s worth it!
- Comment on I have a shamefully dark question for firefighters. I'm sorry but I'm just too curious to not ask... It's about the smell and how that affects life. 4 weeks ago:
The victims I have seen directly consumed by fire, I have seen while wearing my scba and have not really smelled them. I’m not on the crews that transport after.
However, when we go to an untimely death or otherwise serious call, there are certainly smells. Nothing having kids hasn’t also sort of exposed you to, though.
Then again, cats, old feces, and other unknown substances and smells from long-passed people does stick around.
You get used to it in an odd way.
