Is it worth it to jump in if I haven’t played in 4+ years? Used to play with a few friends but similar to MC after 6mnths or so people dwindled interest in it.

Awesome read, can’t wait to checkout the new discoveries in person one day!
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
Interesting, thanks for sharing - taking this with a grain as you mentioned though.
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
Thanks I will share!
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
No problem - yeah that will probably be just fine, at non-commercial scale the seal will probably never get worn off and if you did ever notice spotting you can just reseal.
Unless you have a food safe resin seal to recommend based off your research?
Nope not yet! Still in the structural phase here so when I get to printing I will share for sure.
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
Certified food-grade PETG + food safe resin seal is the best from what I have read (I researched a bunch as I am building a greenhouse)
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
Yup and the constant UV/moisture exposure will expedite the process, that’s why I was asking!
- Comment on Indoor lettuce growing in 3D printed pots 5 weeks ago:
Is this PLA or ABS? Not to be ‘that guy’ ^TM^ but I would be worried about microplastics and leaching if you are eating that lettuce!

Showed all of Charlie Murphy’s real hollywood stories to my s/o who had never seen them. They hold up, we were crying laughing.

Sorry it was a joke in poor taste - I was referring to consuming psychedelic mushrooms (Penis Envy being a very potent strain)

Depth psychological psychotherapy - oh you mean Penis Envy (or Golden Teacher if you lemontek)? Yeah I cried for an hour but then it was a blast.

Probably a ‘grouse.’ That way the bird lives.

Totally… Apple would never make new colors on their products for that reason, noooooo. A tale as old as marketing.

I think it’s a normal part of human nature that you experience all the time without corpo meddling. Have they exploited that urge for new? sure, just like they exploit every human emotion.

- Comment on Is the amount of Lemmy activity declining? 1 month ago:
Very possible, I have not dug in on this, just a vibe.
- Comment on Is the amount of Lemmy activity declining? 1 month ago:
I’m relatively new here, the only negative thing I notice is mods/creators reposting the same stuff every ~6-24 hours to make it ‘seem’ like there is more activity, which I think backfires more than not.
- Comment on Standing desks are like gym memberships. Plenty of people (and offices) pay for them but never use them 1 month ago:
When I was considering buying one I researched the health benefits and from what I could tell - there are none. Most studies/researchers seem to agree that sedentism is bad, either standing or sitting.

Hard pass on that reality. I agree with the vibe of what you are saying, just def not the truth of it.
- Comment on Self-Hosted AI Girlfriend is technically Incest. 1 month ago:
Looking at it as birthing your own companion, totally. But if you were birthing a companion you’d have to raise it, train it, educate it, feed it, clothe it, form a relationship with it, then convice (or manipulate it) to love you.
I see AI companions as even more pathetic (and a lot less gross), honestly. They want all the benefits of an actual human relationship without doing any of the work it demands. They want an echo machine that reaffirms they are valid and wanted, even though they are not. Everyone does not deserve to be loved. Everyone does not deserve to be wanted. These are things you earn and you will never be able to that with a corpo-trained techno-parrot.
- Comment on what are in you're top 3 favourite games of all time? 1 month ago:
- Ultima Online: One of the greatest lore and social experiences of my life
- Project Zomboid: Been playing for over 10yrs and still come back for a new character every few months
- FO: NV
- CIV V
- L4D2
For what has my attention currently:
- BG3: Trying my damnest for a durge run but I keep picking middle-evil responses instead of full-evil, too hard for me to be a baddie

Seconded. Also the neckbeards downvoting you for having a civil conversation about a game but not enjoying it are a joke.

Fair - I mean my next card will be AMD (I’ve done NVidia ever since 3dfx died) but I get what you are saying.

IMHO rarely yes - but most often a dull, dreary bore of a conversation where I turn into homer: homer

Fuck yeah! Be that person, hell, be a little selfish - make the fun for yourself first and foremost.
- Comment on Admit it. WE all do this 2 months ago:
Fight it. Don’t be lame. Don’t let the conversation turn to mush. Say something shocking, open up about an out-of-left field belief you hold. Remember what fun feels like. Discussing work is never fun.
- Comment on President Trump threatened to break up Nvidia, didn't even know what it was — 'What the hell is Nvidia? I've never heard of it before' 2 months ago:
I smell another “lawsuit” that is totally legit guys I swear, and NVidia just happens to settle out of court with DJT to the tune of millions even though every laywer/judge on the planet says the case is without merit. Move along, justice working as expected.
- Comment on Admit it. WE all do this 2 months ago:
I’m not lame so I won’t admit to anything. Anyone who asks me that (at a party) is an immediate red flag to me. “Hey we are all trying to unwind and have some fun, what could make that better? I KNOW! LET’S TALK ABOUT WORK!!!” ugh the worst people. Get me the fuck out of that party.
