  My Iranian friend was talking to me about the Internet blackouts. I mentioned the ham radio thing.

  He told me I would be hung by the regime, but only after being severely tortured for at least a week first.

  Hell, json is 6 years off at this point. XML is 1 year off. Soap? Years off still… Like no formal web based apis existed.

  I’m just arguing here - but dot matrix was mostly irrelevant at that point. Inkjet, bubblejet, and laser jet existed.

  I can’t stand helping windows users because of this. 5 or 6 full screen ads about making it the default browser or if I’d like to take my data with me.

  There’s some talk somewhere else yesterday about how PC/laptop sales are tanking. It’s mostly because people don’t want “AI” computer.

  Out of all the things in the past 20 years I miss - it was my netbook. It was amazing in college for me too.

  The only thing I’ll point out here is the urban heat island. It’s a waste of space to put solar farms in viable farmland.

  Then on top of that, you get to park your car I’m the shade (electric or gas). Even if you’re “anti green technology” - why would you be against having a shady place to park your car?
