Is that a coffee machine?
- Comment on For when arguments go off the bottom of The Debate Pyramid 1 week ago:
I don’t think the use of a pyramid is ideal here. It implies that violence is the basis of every conflict and should be used most often.
- Comment on Anyone had any luck running Fusion 360 on Linux? 1 week ago:
The main function of the script is to enable the browser redirect for the login. Sometimes Autodesk changes how the login works and logs you out. Then you can’t login back again, because the browser redirect doesn’t work.

Yes and no. This install script works well, but it breaks every few months. Then you have to wait for an update and reinstall everything.

Meh. It’s all about how well it keeps the tracking. I just hope it’s not as closed down as my Einstar Vega. And it’s nice to have more choices for AIO scanners.
- Comment on Does It Make Sense To Upgrade A Prusa MK4S To A Core One? 1 month ago:
The upgrade kit costs half of a full Core one Kit (in Europe). That doesn’t sound financially wise no matter how you look at it. The MK4S still is in no way outdated to justify sacrificing it for such an expensive upgrade.
- Comment on Robot performs first realistic surgery without human help: System trained on videos of surgeries performs like an expert surgeon 3 months ago:
I wonder how doctors could compare this simulation to a real surgery. I’m willing to bet it’s “realistic and lifelike” in the way a 4D movie is.
I think “lifelike” in this context means a dead human. The robot was originally trained on pigs.

We had a roomba mounted print head before.
- Comment on Hands-On: EufyMake E1 UV Printer 4 months ago:
Yes. It prints similar to an inkjet printer, but the dyes are UV-curable.
- Comment on 3D printers leave hidden ‘fingerprints’ that reveal part origins 4 months ago:
The technology could also be used to track the origins of illicit goods.
Does that mean ghost guns? That was my first thought when I heard of this tech.
- Comment on Is there a way to avoid those holes? 5 months ago:
Set your slicer to only use one wall for the top layer.
