Once I was refusing a return because the customer never paid for the item, I explained how the item wasn’t on the receipt because the cashier made an error in their favor and they never paid for it.
My supervisor sent me to lunch and did the return to get the customer out of the store.

Same board three times: fresh veg on a clean board, raw veg after, then raw meat.
I’m trying to do more vegetarian, but hey I made a single chicken boob stretch through a week meal prep so i think I’m doing ok

Unironically, this is the way.
The main point of the missions is not to proselytize, but to remove these children from their families while finalizing the brainwashing into the cult. There is an effect where being yelled at/denied/turned away makes them feel persecuted for their faith and solidifies their need to belong to the group.

That would just be a possibility until it actually happens, until the actual crisis point.
For example, we’re not diverging with every step on a flight of stairs. However, have you ever experienced that moment of vertigo where you thought you missed a step and then felt your foot land solid on the next? That would be the moment.
- Comment on If you went to an island, and formed a new country and forcibly inject everyone there with a drug that makes them happy, you new country could surpass Finland as the "Happiest country in the world" 2 weeks ago:
There’s been no war here and no terraforming event. The environment is stable. It’s the Pax. The G-23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate that we added to the air processors. It was supposed to calm the population, weed out aggression. Well, it works. The people here stopped fighting. And then they stopped everything else. They stopped going to work, they stopped breeding, talking, eating. There’s 30 million people here, and they all just let themselves die.

I don’t think I called my theory ‘quantum immortality’ 🤔😉

One of my possible theories is that the alternate timelines diverge for each of us at moments we could have died. The timeline diverges and one continues on with us and one without us; sometimes while “dying” timelines merge back together resulting in stories like reddit’s r/glitchinthematrix
So if it’s any consolation, your bully probably died in your deportation timeline.
- Comment on People were mad because they lost their AI boyfriend after GPT-4o deprecation 2 weeks ago:
I think it comes down to fear of failure and rejection. Any social interaction has risks of failing, maintaining relationships builds on getting past various faux pas but so many modern relationships are either transactional or transitory to the point people will ghost each other over minor infractions rather than putting in effort that may not be rewarded.
We almost all have forgotten and/or atrophied skills because of how the Internet and technology have changed the landscape over these past few decades, even on social media like here people have forgotten how to have conversations. Rarely do people make friends or even have a back and forth on social media websites, just chains of replies left for the next soul like a guest book with comments.

- Comment on is it normal to feel tired for weeks after running and doing yoga every day for almost 6 months? 1 month ago:
The heat takes a lot more out of you than you’ll realize. Listen to your body and take it easier, one of the things it’s trying to do is regulate heat by telling you to generate less. If you want to do more activity take it indoors until it cools down.

I think you’re missing the forest for the trees and I don’t think I’ll be engaging with your slippery slope argument ✌️
- Comment on Why is the progress pride flag so poorly designed (especially the intersex progress pride flag)? Will it be redesigned? 2 months ago:
The Progress flag stands for the progress that has been made and the progress that STILL NEEDS TO BE MADE against racism and transphobia as well as memorializing those we lost to AIDS.
So yes, while the original flag is meant to include all the LGBT+ communities, progress stands for more than inclusion for a lot of us ✌️
- Comment on Why is the progress pride flag so poorly designed (especially the intersex progress pride flag)? Will it be redesigned? 2 months ago:
The primary reason it’s copyrighted is to prevent corporations from profiting off of it.

I remember reading about some really good fake ivory making a big hit against the trade. Hopefully something like that could help the rhinos too.
I also wonder if poachers could be insentivised to dehorn instead of killing as another harm reduction.
