That’s cool, but how easy is that material to manufacture ? Silicon is relatively easy to make a plentiful.

I do ! I use NoScript in Firefox, and I allow scripts selectively when they’re needed. You’d be surprised how many websites just work with everything off !
This may differ depending on your usage, though. I don’t really use in-browser apps if at all possible, and I don’t use conventional social media aside from YouTube and Reddit (PeerTube and Lemmy are better but there’s still too much info / people on the corporate versions to fully switch over)

You have JavaScript enabled by default ?

Full disk encryption with an LVM in LUKS is pretty easy to setup, arch wiki is very helpful for that ! You can even encrypt most of the bootloader, so the drive is 100% useless if stolen.
- Comment on OpenAI's move to allow generating "Ghibly stlye" images isn't just a cute PR stunt. It is an expression of dominance and the will to reject and refuse democratic values. It is a display of power 1 week ago:
An insult to life itself.

92% of my playtime is Minecraft, makes sense.

Games as a whole are getting better, but AAA is getting worse.
- Comment on Ten reasons to avoid Amazon | Ethical Consumer 4 weeks ago:
I agree with the message, but these two points following each other feels a little hypocritical:
“Amazon is supporting new nuclear plants” and “Amazon has a poor climate record”
Nuclear power is the most effective way to get out of climate change. Caring about climate change and being against nuclear power at the same time is a contradictory position to take, and needlessly puritanical.
If we could only rely on renewables, that would be very nice. That is not currently the case. We should strive to have more renewable energy, while keeping in mind nuclear power is here to stay and even be expanded as we eliminate carbon emitting sources of energy.
