  These price hikes could not have come at a worse time, not just in the sense of the general cash people have but in the sense that video games right now are straight up not interesting.

  Good games are not being made anymore. Bloated “experiences” designed to keep you hooked and spending money are being made. I can’t even accuse them of being casino games because that would more fun and interesting.

  The rise in price comes at a time when we have virtually limitless backlogs of digital and physical games that are superb and high quality and indie games that get better and better. The price alone isn’t the issue, it’s the price and stagnation of game design

  Not just the high payed software folks, but the data centers are also maintained by highly skilled and hard working techs. And this technology is only possible with constant pristine maintenance if the servers to train their models. They loathe these people just as much and can’t wait to get humans out of the process

  What’s crazy is how fragile their ai ecosystem is. The tech requires insane scaling in the form of data centers. We’ve hit the Moore’s law limit, this tech isn’t getting better in and of itself, it just gets better by adding more tpus and servers.

  They want slavery because ai taking jobs makes no economic sense and breaks labor theory of value. No human production means nothing has value. We are literally already seeing this with ai slop!

  I also think while yelling racial slurs should not be illegal, organizing and mobilizing under a racist ideology that promises to eliminate free speech should be criminalized. The tricky part is doing it in a way that won’t be abused ie calling things that aren’t racist and supremacist ideology those things to criminalize them.
