I did. Should I not have?

We don’t actually know where the term cracker originated from
I kinda got that sense from skimming the Wikipedia page when I wrote this, but I don’t know what it means to anyone other than myself in 2025 so I figured I would ask.
I’ve only ever been called that because of my name and while that’s “offensive” to me in like a “worlds most unoriginal joke” kind of way, but my experience with the word has biased me.

If you’re worried about people thinking it’s a weird or offensive name, just pick another name.
That’s a good point. I think most of my resistance to doing it so far is all the different devices with different software to change it and thinking of a new name (bit of a perfectionist). Realistically, it would only take a few hours at most to get everything sorted.
Thanks.

I wasn’t really thinking about offending other white people. Regardless, I am asking even for the cases of “thin-skinned” individuals. As I said, it’s important to me to not offend people unnecessarily, regardless of how much skin they might have.
