- Comment on How do wealthy people know if the people they meet are wealthy or not? 4 days ago:
Exclusive or elitist events, activities, education. Also how people dress and hold themselves is often a good indicator (most refer to this as class). The obvious question of what do u do is very effective at filtering out the low lives. Also networks and who you know is the real value in the inheritance not the money or assets. From a young age your taught to network and figure these things out without being too explicit and to find the people that will be successful before they are successful and if they are playing a similar game it snowballs from there.

How is having 1 book on ur bookshelf enough to condemned a man. I have mein Kampf on my bookshelf sitting right next the communists manifesto and 1984. Does that make me a communist or a Nazi? How can u hope to defeat an ideology for which you do not understand?

- Comment on Am I right to be afraid of germs / is my family disgusting or am I overreacting and this is germaphobia? (read post) 1 week ago:
I’ve found that the human body is remarkably resistant to a lot of shit the germaphobe thing has gone a bit far imo. That been said ur house looks like a fucking shithole. I’d be more worried about the mental toll living in a pigstye like that. That’s fucking disgusting not necessarily a health risk unless u got mould on shit ur eating (and even then odds are ur fine, most moulds are nontoxic, only a few can kill you).
- Comment on Sociology textbooks made illegal by a board that has no educators on it. Schools will become propaganda machines. 2 weeks ago:
Schools have always been propaganda machines. That is the primary purpose of education. To instill loyalty to the state over all else into every single person from the earliest age.
- Comment on Society is starting to appropriately accommodate neurodivergence, yet stupid/idiot/crazy/lazy etc. stay in the vocabulary. 3 weeks ago:
Well most people aren’t referring to a mental illness when they say retard yet u can’t say that anymore. Well at least of left wing places like lemmy.
- Comment on Are we about to see the WW3? 3 weeks ago:
Depends. Can the galling regime in Iran motivate a Shiite revolution across the world and can they do gorilla warfare from tunnels in Iran’s mountainous regions for a long time. And distrupt the flow of oil sufficiently thus causing the us dollar to collapse and thus the global markets along with it (Rothschild banks USD as international reserve currency etc etc).
The us is distracted so China might take the opportunity to take Taiwan. That will herold in the end of the consumer driven economy enjoyed by the western world cos trade with china drives everything.
When markets and quality of life collapse this bad u either get a populist revolution (eg Hitler, Stalin, etc) or the government starts an economic rejuvenation project (war driven economy).
The economy is essentially just a function of how effective a population is at turning resources into product. Wealth concentration has got so heigh we are approaching the point that people can no longer consume the GDP. Thus u need a product sink else the economy stops. Thankfully the war driven economy already proves an excellent resources sink (war itself). Orwell predicted this yet nobody listened.
We might get to be the ones to witness the death of liberty, but then again the pots boiling so slowly their is little chance we will know when that happens. Who’s to say the final blow to liberty hasn’t already been dealt and we just can’t see it yet.

- Comment on $1,000 car loan payments are on the rise, stressing household budgets 4 weeks ago:
If u can pay that much to rent u can afford to buy some shitbox outright no credit required. Most of the shitboxed I’ve driven or my mates have driven are reliable as shit just ugly with no ac, and a broken stereo.

Why in the fuck would u pay that and not just buy a shitbox for like 2k
- Comment on How could online identity work without permanent usernames or unrecoverable accounts? 4 weeks ago:
Atproto accepts 2 forms of did did:web (their own special snowflake identity system with trusted servers managing it so its not trustless) and did:pgp which is just pgp keys. Any identity system requires a source of truth in a cryptographic system that’s the private key generated from a seed phrase (essentially same as a password) the source of truth is ur memory. The other source of proof is biometrics. Any system must come down to one of those 2 things.

The mandatory ai isn’t to make the employees faster or more efficient its to get all the data of u correcting the ai in doing ur job. Same reason I run !news_summary@hilariouschaos.com that’s not just to provide news summaries that’s mainly to get the data of people correcting its mistakes which I can all feed in as a signal for making my bot better at trading decisions. Lemmy hating on ai is really useful it provides one of the last bastions where I can get a real human in the loop. And I’m sure u don’t agree with me doing that but feel free to complain about it because as we know all publicity is good publicity.

- Comment on (REDO) FediNSFW the announcements community for the lemmyNSFW replacement 4 weeks ago:
Downvotes are a “I don’t like this” signal that’s the entire purpose. Of course it meant that guys posting got berried that’s the whole point. That content was unpopular thus it got downvoted saving mW from having to see it. I don’t care how valid ur post is if its not popular then its not popular that’s how the marketplace of ideas works.
