Yea I feel like some of the bots across multiple instances need to be toned back. Right now several of them, including lemmit.bot are just scraping anything that matches their search criteria and puking it out which leads to actual member posts being buried under the inundation of articles and headlines.

Yea I just personally blocked the lemmit bot which made ml and lemmit much more… “Bearable”. Hexbear tho? I canned that instance after a few trips into it, some may find it bearable but it’s not for me. It toes a very fine line that I just don’t feel comfortable with, but hey, you do you.
If anything, if an instance is just 75% bot posting, I just silence it, especially a majority of the politic instances… I don’t need a bot spewing doom and gloom into my feeds at mach fuck.
For X links… I guess ban the links if you feel the need but maybe allow for screenshots of X posts since a lot of companies and emergency services use X for posting realtime information that doesn’t get posted elsewhere.

Yea id either get what I wanted to see which was essentially just shit posting and wood working videos or, more usually the case, it would be nothing but Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan and half baked conspiracy videos taking about DEW and wildfires.

Wind or Nuclear.
I get that nuclear is a Boogeyman for some but it really is one of the better options for taking a step in the right direction and getting us closer to less oil dependency.

It’s great because nobody can figure out who may be doing it.
There’s a running theory that it’s the same graffiti artist that had been doing anti-corpo stuff during Occupy WallStreet like some kind of ancap banksy but again, they haven’t been caught nor identified.

Example A of why you should always have a trusted friend or family member that you make contact with regularly and the understanding of “if you don’t hear from me in x amount of time. Something’s probably happened to me.”

Some person(a) in my city used to go around slapping stickers over Trump bumper stickers that said “drink beer, support the queer!”. As of recently several Teslas has have “Built by fascism” slapped on them… Wonder if it’s the same person(s).

It’s understandable in the end. I do feel the same way sometimes about our equipment we have to throw out even if I do so begrudgingly

I can agree with both points but I understand OP’s points too.
I work with high pressure hydraulic systems and our gauges that we use for testing and operational checks have to be calibrated to within a very small margin per the manufacturer, if it’s unable to be calibrated to within that margin or if it’s been recalibrated X amount of times we have to toss it and replace it (they’re expensive btw…). To the lay man, a difference of 50psi might seem inconsequential and a stupid reason to throw it out but for someone like me who is standing next to something that’s already pressurized to its “proof pressure” which is usually multiple times higher than it’s operating pressure, that 50psi is the difference between me going home that evening or me getting impaled by an accumulator that blows apart and pins me to the wall.
For an example more akin to what OP is talking about, see the Therac-25 radiotherapy machine, where improper use, training and maintenance led to several otherwise preventable deaths.

Yea I can’t logically understand how an influencer even gets their content seen on Meta’s platforms given how it’s algorithm just pukes random shit at you 24/7 with no rhyme or reason.

Iirc Meta, X and some other platform I can’t think of did a similar thing with popular streamers and YouTubers trying to get them to post to their platforms. Most of them told Meta and X to screw off.
