What actions are you referring to? I appreciate Steams contributions to the Linux ecosystem but that’s about it, and even that is completely self serving. Locking everything on their platform behind DRM? Taking a 30% cut of everything sold after monopolizing the PC gaming market?
He’s a big proponent of microtransactions and was one of the first to introduce lootcrate mechanics for skins. Skins that you can buy/sell with real cash off-site. There’s a billion dollar online casino ecosystem where you use skins as chips to play games that’s basically targeted at kids. Valve is completely aware of it and it breaks their ToS but they profit greatly so they look the other way and continue to push shitty scratch off ticket loot boxes to kids. There really is no such thing as an ethical billionaire.
Unless you know about some great philanthropic work he’s doing?

I understand and don’t necessarily disagree with any of that but let’s not pretend GabeN is anything other than another greedy billionaire.
- Comment on When we eat the billionaires, we should spare Gabe Newell? No? 6 days ago:
And they purposely target kids with addictive loot crate mechanics and look the otherway while loot/skins are sold on 3rd party sites.
Maybe GabeN really needs a 7th yacht but maybe he’s just a greedy bastard who wants all the money.

As someone who was an adult when it came out but didn’t see it until years later.
It’s an adequate live-action adaptation of a classic piece of animation. With Christmas coming up you should probably go ahead and give it a watch, if for no other reason than to say you did.

I prefer Jims acting and the roles he’s chosen, but Adam seems like he’s probably a nicer person.

I feel like most people just want to pick one and stick to it; stop changing it back and forth every other season, my body will adjust to the changing days just fine on its own.

I love seeing the explosion of interest in pawpaws over the last decade. They’re very good, a bit of a cross between mango and a banana. I’ve actually seen them at a local fsrmers market this season, I was pretty surprised.

You can do private lobbies but you gotta have friends to have people to play with.
On the PC front GTA-RP servers are alive and thriving and very safe and stable at this point.

Same, moved to kbin then hopped around some after it went into limbo. Ended up on .zip and appreciate its kind of hand-off, user-deals with it, federation/blocking.
RIP kbin you were a real one and I hope all your devs (Ernest) future projects go well.

I had a couple friends and we all used to dial into each others computers after school and play Doom (and Duke Nukem 3D and later [Descent](en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Descent_(video_game) which was mind blowing at the time).
It worked just fine, it was a blast.

Legitimately 70 years, their fight started just after FDRs New Deal. The entire modern Republican party exists to work towards this. They want a return to the guided age with themselves as the robber barons and everyone else as a permanently toiling underclass.

The second biggest was letting a bunch of traitors go home with their heads held high to establish a mythos about some imagined poo oilof Drfewheritage. Officers should’ve been hanged/shot, lands should’ve been confiscated and given to newly freed peoples, “40 acres and a mule.”

The only reason it failed was because the traitors mistakenly chosen a good and loyal American soldier who informed FDR of the plot.
Smedley Butler is a name that has essentially been forgotten due to his later views on American business interests and foreign imperialism.
