Yellow blouse is Sadayo Kawakami who is a teacher at the high school that the main character goes to. You can choose to date her, which has some not great implications, thus the groomer thing.
Don’t know know the other ones
- Comment on After two years of development, Heroes of the Seven Islands, a cRPG that I drew by hand on paper, will be released on Steam, in four days the 9/9/2025 (demo available) 1 week ago:
Finally, a quest I can relate to and get behind.
Go murder a bunch of crabs to make the town safer? Size your destiny and become the legendary hero? Tired, cliche, no thanks.
We wanted to make some banger cheese, so we left it in the dungeon to age, but now a dragon lives there and I really want that cheese? Now THATS a quest I wanna go on!

I love project moon! The setting of The City is so cool! I spent way more time in Limbus than Lob Corp or Ruina, because both of those are way too hard for me XD
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 1 week ago:
Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to the original game Hollow Knight. It’s a metroidvania game with a cult following. The sequel has been in development for years, and people are super hyped for its release, proven even more so by the fact that an industry giant like steam not being able to keep up with demand

Big second for Lovers In a Dangerous Spacetime. Purely co-op, very simple controls so even people who aren’t super into games can play, and a super cute aesthetic make it a great ‘We wanna play a game, but don’t want to sweat’ kinda game.

I always bring up Crawl in these threads because it’s so good, and I rarely ever see anyone talking about it! The way that players are always ‘switching teams’ is so fun!

I work at a call center for insurance stuff and regularly have people start the call with ‘REPRESENTATIVE’ or ‘SPEAK TO A HUMAN’ because they think I’m still a part of the IVR system. One thing to keep in mind with any call center, is that no matter how specific you feel like your problem is, that rep has said that exact same line thousands of times, probably a few times that same day. For a lot of issues, it’s the same thing, just swap some names and numbers. And when you say the same thing over and over, you get really good at communicating the exact information that someone needs with as few of the little imperfections that’s make a conversation sound ‘human’ as possible.

- Comment on Had a take about Supergiant Games that recieved a lot of pushback fromy two longest running best friends. 3 months ago:
I love roguelikes, probably one of my favorite genres, so much so that I started playing rogue for a while to see what the OG was like.
And by sales numbers, 100% Pyre would be their worst game, but I’m far past judging a games content by its sales at this point.
And it’s easy to see why Hades is loved by so many, it’s a great game! Just definitely my least favorite of all of Supergiant’s stuff.

I have the exact same take, and the exact same experience with my friend group. I love supergiant games. Anything they touch is solid gold imo. I’ve always said that Hades is an amazing game, it’s just supergiant’s worst game.
Personally, I think for me, it comes down to the setting. Bastion, Transistor and Pyre all had amazing, unique settings that made me as a player want to learn and explore everything I could. And again, Hades does an amazing job of painting the setting and fleshing out the characters, but it’s kinda just Greek mythology, which has been done before and I personally find it less interesting.
To restate, Hades is an amazing game, just imo it’s supergiants worst game.

I think the ‘problem’ the meme is referencing is supporting centralized social media run by corporations. I think the ‘problem’ you are talking about is more along the lines of tech addiction. Something can fix one problem without fixing every problem.

I mean, a lot of roleplayers don’t… It’s definitely pathetic, but like of all the reasons it is, not responding in first person is a weird one to single out XD
Just my two cents of course

I like your comment and I want to posit this.
If you want to swear then swear. Cool, I agree with this as it’s following a simple ‘Do what you want’ kinda thing.
If you don’t want to swear, don’t swear. Again sweet, do what you want.
But what if I want to swear, but I want to censor the swear word, even superficially (replace a vowel with something else, leaving the swear entirely readable where everyone can easily tell what swear is being used)? This is where I’m seeing a ton of people suddenly not as okay with people doing what they want, and that’s what I was trying to get at with this comment chain. Why are people so upset at people censoring themselves in this way?
And I’m not even suggesting that I do this all the time, just in some cases where I specifically want to swear, but softer. Like when I’m trying to make it abundantly clear that I’m not swearing at someone, I’m just swearing in general.
I really hope this doesn’t come across as confrontational and I appreciate that you took the time to reply. This just really feels like something that harms no one but for some reason makes a lot of people mad.
- Comment on Oh fuck no 10 months ago:
I just feel like people can choose for themselves. As another commenter said it takes a lot of the ‘oomph’ out of the swear which I believe does have a time and place. But many people seem to be over the top ofended if you choose to do so.
I’m certainly not suggesting that ‘everyone needs to censor their swears, think of the women and children!’ But lemmy seems to get more angry than I would consider reasonable if someone does censor themselves.
Best anti-censor sewers argument I keep seeing is that people are doing it to be more advertiser friendly which is making the internet worse overall, and I while heartedly agree with that, but sometimes with no other motive than I would prefer it, I like to say fxck instead of fuck.
- Comment on Oh fuck no 10 months ago:
We’ve gone all the way around so now censoring a swear makes people more upset than actually saying it and I really don’t understand why.
Year 2000
Say ‘fuck’
People get irrationally mad
Year 2024
Say ‘fxck’
People get irrationally mad
What happened?
