All of this sounds fine and good, but the jump to people with supernatural powers over electronics was a bit of a stretch at the end

- Comment on When you see somebody do this, you know they've got the experience 2 weeks ago:
The short version is he’s using the gun wrong.
The longer version is an AR-15 has a button on it (the thing he’s pulling in the pic) that is used to fix a very specific problem (specifically making sure that the bolt of the gun is fully closed, because otherwise if you fire it the gun will malfunction). In counterstrike 1.6, all the characters used that button essentially as the guns slide, which you use to put a round in the chainber to be fired (the same way the action hero pumps a shotgun with a click clack to make sure you know he means business).
So the title is sarcastic, because someone pulling on the forward assist like it’s a slide has no idea what the fuck they’re doing.

That’s 100% your gateway to lucid dreaming though. If you can pick out one or two things that for whatever reason happen in most of your dreams, you just need to be able to remember them as they’re happening and you can take control. Of course, then you have to balance it with not realizing you’re asleep too hard, otherwise you wake up.

Wargroove was great! I saw a lot of people didn’t like the second one as much though. Do you have any experience in the sequel?

It’s the same in the US, or at least around me. Had a manager that had a seizure (thankfully just once) but they essentially had to take 6 months off because he lived far away and couldn’t commute anymore.
- Comment on Obamacare enrollee sees premium spike over 300% as sign-up period begins: 'This will devastate us' 2 months ago:
I work in a call center that helps employees of companies select their coverage and process their enrollment with carriers. This will be my 4th time through the annual enrollment period, and it’s been by far the biggest jump in price that I’ve seen. Last year monthy premiums went up between 15-20% for the policies we administrate. This year prices jumped up 45-55%.
Annual enrollment is the busiest 2 weeks of the year for us since everyone needs to get their elections in, but this year I’ve noticed that I’ve taken more calls from retirees dropping their policies than employees renewing them. Most people’s pensions simply do not cover the cost of Healthcare, got forbid they need $10 a month left over to pay for food.
As someone who works with Healthcare everyday, it is exactly as bleak as you think it is.

Finally, a quest I can relate to and get behind.
Go murder a bunch of crabs to make the town safer? Size your destiny and become the legendary hero? Tired, cliche, no thanks.
We wanted to make some banger cheese, so we left it in the dungeon to age, but now a dragon lives there and I really want that cheese? Now THATS a quest I wanna go on!

Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to the original game Hollow Knight. It’s a metroidvania game with a cult following. The sequel has been in development for years, and people are super hyped for its release, proven even more so by the fact that an industry giant like steam not being able to keep up with demand

Big second for Lovers In a Dangerous Spacetime. Purely co-op, very simple controls so even people who aren’t super into games can play, and a super cute aesthetic make it a great ‘We wanna play a game, but don’t want to sweat’ kinda game.

I work at a call center for insurance stuff and regularly have people start the call with ‘REPRESENTATIVE’ or ‘SPEAK TO A HUMAN’ because they think I’m still a part of the IVR system. One thing to keep in mind with any call center, is that no matter how specific you feel like your problem is, that rep has said that exact same line thousands of times, probably a few times that same day. For a lot of issues, it’s the same thing, just swap some names and numbers. And when you say the same thing over and over, you get really good at communicating the exact information that someone needs with as few of the little imperfections that’s make a conversation sound ‘human’ as possible.

- Comment on Had a take about Supergiant Games that recieved a lot of pushback fromy two longest running best friends. 8 months ago:
I love roguelikes, probably one of my favorite genres, so much so that I started playing rogue for a while to see what the OG was like.
And by sales numbers, 100% Pyre would be their worst game, but I’m far past judging a games content by its sales at this point.
And it’s easy to see why Hades is loved by so many, it’s a great game! Just definitely my least favorite of all of Supergiant’s stuff.
- Comment on Had a take about Supergiant Games that recieved a lot of pushback fromy two longest running best friends. 8 months ago:
I have the exact same take, and the exact same experience with my friend group. I love supergiant games. Anything they touch is solid gold imo. I’ve always said that Hades is an amazing game, it’s just supergiant’s worst game.
Personally, I think for me, it comes down to the setting. Bastion, Transistor and Pyre all had amazing, unique settings that made me as a player want to learn and explore everything I could. And again, Hades does an amazing job of painting the setting and fleshing out the characters, but it’s kinda just Greek mythology, which has been done before and I personally find it less interesting.
To restate, Hades is an amazing game, just imo it’s supergiants worst game.

I think the ‘problem’ the meme is referencing is supporting centralized social media run by corporations. I think the ‘problem’ you are talking about is more along the lines of tech addiction. Something can fix one problem without fixing every problem.
