- Comment on Has a patent office ever refused to grant a patent to something on the grounds it was too obscene? 1 week ago:
It would take all of five minutes to not want that job. Very messy and dusty. And not good mess like old nasty stuff that’s seeped under those tiles. Bonus the tiles might be asbestos. But if this sounds like a good time still, please report to your nearest US Army Recruitment Office!

I just copy and paste this now.
Step 1. Factory reset.
Step 2. Do not allow it to connect to the Internet.
Step 3. Connect a Linux based computer to it and run everything through the computer.

- Comment on Tools that Just Work™ …until they don’t 2 weeks ago:
Hi Engineer here. Nothing “just works”! That is a simple matter of perspective. Countless hours of mental anguish go in to projects with work arounds and bandaids, so something looks like it “just works”.
And this perspective is coming from someone who has not used the product he is shitting on. I love my A1 mini. And will I upgrade the firmware? No, it already does what I need. But the majority of users who are not us and are fine with a closed system. Hell, I think “normal” people even prefer closed systems. I also love my pain in the ass Ender 3 with my raspberry pi and octoprint.

They can be used for flavoring but I would not eat the shells.
- Comment on You must take a long road trip with Donald Trump and no one else in the car. Security is everywhere; no one is in danger. You drive and control the radio, but can only play music. What's the playlist? 3 weeks ago:
I accelerate to the car’s top speed and then make a hard left hand turn.

To skip small talk politely I will usually use “Hey (person’s name) what’s going on?” Which I use for my daily post as well. I try to sound positive. This way I sound interested in them and not put upon.

- Comment on Why Are Micro Center Flash Drives So Slow? 4 weeks ago:
I’ll be your fanboy for the day. I blame Windows for the slow down. If I move a file to or from a flash drive on windows the transfer will slow down to kilobits. This does not happen to me on Linux.

Don’t fetch reddit posts. Just create content. Comment and upvote or downvote stuff. And hack your friends DNS so when they type in reddit they come to lemmy.

It can handle higher temperatures, and UV rays and is not as brittle as PLA. It has a little flex.

I would try PETG. It doesn’t need an enclosure.
