My dad was a racist homophobe that voted red every election because it was “the Christian thing to do.” He’d constantly preach to us about how the bible said gay people go to hell and he’d always say things like “Now I’m not racist but <insert very racist statement here.>” and then look at us children for approval of his hateful shit and we did because we were raised that way. It wasnt until all 3 of us entered our teenage years and started arguing with him about it pretty much daily and eventually him dating a woman who had a gay brother for him to eventually start changing his mind about that stuff. Now he’s super left leaning and doesnt say hateful shit anymore. Idk if he honestly had a change of heart or if he just noticed the times were changing

At my school no one took shits because if you did anyone else in the bathroom would laugh and call you out by name if they could figure out who was in the stall “HAHA he’s taking a shit in there!” I was so self concious about it until senior year when I stopped caring about it

Daggerfall is my favorite Elder Scrolls game and what the community has done for it is amazing. A lot of people hate the dungeon design but honestly its my favorite part. I love how mazelike they are and I have become very good at navigating them. The immersion is good too if you can wrap your head around it. Most quests having a deadline really makes you question whether or not you can fit that 8 hour rest in. Caught a disease from a rat? You wont know it until later when you start feeling too sick to travel. Cursed with lycanthropy? Better get out of town when the full moon hits. I wish they had stuck to this formula for elder scrolls games but as others in the fanbase have pointed out, these mechanics have been thrown out in favor of attracting a broader audience which sucks but I understand

You’re not going into depth on how it is half assed. The only thing I can complain about is some performance drops when travelling outside, but I imagine they’ll patch that out at some point. If you’re referring to the classic oblivion stuff like goofy npcs and most of them having the same voice actor tbh I’d be pissed if they changed that stuff

Yeah I was wrong. He’s based off of Jules Brunet who was a french officer that trained the Tokugawa samurai in the use of modern weaponry of the time. He sided with the resistance against the emperor of Japan until he was evacuated by a french warship later on when the resistance was defeated. He wasnt a samurai by any means but he was a real guy

Nah I think both of these are examples of pandering. The Last Samurai is even worse because there was no reason at all for Tom Cruise to be there historically. Yasuke at least was a real samurai and I think if you were to ignore the fact that ubisoft is obviously pandering for publicity and cash his story isn’t much different than Will Adams’ potrayal in Shogan.

Its the same problem with teleportation. If you are disentegrated in one spot and then completely reformed out of new particles in another spot to the new version of you there would be continuity but the old version would have basically died

Its Martin Scorcese. He directed a lot of movies like The Godfather, Wolf of Wall Street, and other films. Mostly mafia and crime stuff. He’s a pretty reputable director and the joke is that the person summed him up to being a Tiktok guy

I think if there are actual aliens and they are actually showing us that they can interfere with our nuclear equities its a last ditch effort to prevent us from killing ourselves without directly interfering. If they were involved in some sort of war I doubt we’d really be any use to them. If they’re advanced enough to travel lightyears to our planet then our weaponry is as primitive as a cavemans club
