Ongoing case here in Australia with a lady accused of murdering her ex and ex-inlaws. Invites them to lunch of beef Wellington and death cap mushrooms.
3 died fairly awful deaths in the following days/weeks, 1 survived after intensive care.
Accused of trying to murder the ex 4 prior times too.

I let my boss know I have to duck out on occasion, same courtesy when they have to duck out. No big as long as the job is done.
They know that they will get that time back in work travel/overtime and it will balance out

Great app, been using it for years
- Comment on How often do you run backups on your system? 1 month ago:
Daily backups. Currently using restic on my NixOS servers. To avoid data corruption, I make a zfs snapshot at 2am, and after that restic does a backup of my mutable data dirs both to my local Nas and CloudFlare r3. The Nas backup folder is synced to backblaze nightly as well for a more cold store.

Tbh I tore of society and it’s insurance of putting things in labelled boxes.
It means different things to different people based on their age and experiences growing up.
For me it’s PS2 backwards.

Oh god I didn’t want to see this post. Been considering replacing my Ducky one ii and this sounds real sexy…
How does it feel and respond outside twitch FPS? I’ve had many years on CS source/overwatch/TF2, but I play plenty of chill games of late so I’m not always desperate for reducing latency. Still sounds amazing
- Comment on What do you use for notes? 1 month ago:
I’ve been using logseq with syncthing for sync, across laptop/desktop/Android. Works ok, app can be a little chunky though and sometimes the manualness of coding queries can. E annoying. I have used joplin, trillium, Zim and a few others in the past. Installed silver bullet as a try too but haven’t gotten far into playing with it

Deus ex and system shock 2 should definitely be on a retro shooter/rpg list. Shock 1, you’d probably be better off playing night dives shock remake from last year… or perhaps a modified remaster of the OG. The controls from shock1 are outright painful

Ah yes, the game that made me get a Steam account, so looks like my steam account is days from it’s 20th anniversary.
God damn did I hate Valve for making me get steam back then, I was on dialup and getting Steam to launch was a utter nightmare, and I HAD to have it to play HL2? F you gaben!
Fast forward 20 years and I’m eagerly awaiting the AU launch of the steam deck and reminiscing of how good steam has been for me…

Saw his show in Melb Tuesday, was a ripper. Except the part where he asked the crowd for those in love with someone to make some noise and my wife didn’t bat an eyelid. Of all the ways to find out…
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 released in December 2020. Almost 4 years later, what is your opinion on it? 4 months ago:
Really enjoyed it, only recently finished a run with expansion and some QOL mods. Excellent visuals (with RTX), and if your into the theme the story was fun and pretty good. Not perfect by any stretch but solid. Gameplay mechanics is fairly engaging after the 2.0 patch.
It is definitely sad it took so long to get to here though, it was broken on launch beyond bugs - the builds you could do pre 1.5 were plain broken.
That said, we should celebrate anyone making single player games these days seriously, it feels like they are getting very thin on the ground.
