More liberal hysterics, looks like they sure are doing well folks lmfao
- Comment on Are 'micro-apartments' converted from offices the answer to the housing crisis? 3 weeks ago:
Ehh that studio on the right is perfectly livable for two adults. Common to see in Europe.
The left looks like some cursed dorm-type setup with shared restrooms and kitchens which is just unsanitary (have you met an average American?).
But the size is fine. Americans just insist on having ridiculous amounts of square footage to “live” because they don’t live. The US has no third spaces so either you go somewhere and pay for the privilege of being there, or you use your apartment as your all-in-one space for gatherings, exercise, relaxing, creating, etc.

ITT: genocide supporting fascists get triggered by being called genocide supporting fascists
We get it, you’re jealous about how leftists are always on the correct side of history.

- Comment on Is Lebanon part of Israel’s promised territory? 1 month ago:
That’s weird, where are all the Lemmy liberals here to point out the same tired BS propaganda excuses in the same exact order of increasing dismissiveness until finally completely pretending genocide was even mentioned and immediately pivoting to some weird excuse about how Trump will do the domestic policies that Biden has literally been signing for the past 4 years?
It’s almost like they don’t give a shit about anything and don’t believe in anything.
- Comment on Has anyone ever seen a "10A" USB-C cable and can tell what their purpose is? 1 month ago:
Yeah damn those sneaky Chinese, forcing Western capitalists at gunpoint to buy their fraudulent goods en masse for markup and resale to Western markets. If I wanted shitty manufacturing, I would have bought American and saved us all some carbon!
- Comment on The reason we don’t see exploding battery attacks more often is not because it’s technically hard, it’s because the erosion of public trust in everyday things isn’t worth it. 1 month ago:
Really glad to hear the dead 8 year old girl was Khamas. I’m sure the dozen children that will be shot in the head today will be relieved once they find out they were Khamas as well and deserved to be shot in the head.

Yea it’s kinda ass.
A 3070FE with no CPU bottleneck should not chug this game at 40fps on low settings with “ultra performance” DLSS at 3440x1440. Do better, devs.
Besides that, your complaints are 100% on point. As someone who had 2700 hours in FF14 before quitting, it’s clear they overlocked the engine to its limits and simply patched together whatever they could.
I called it as soon as they gave the FF16 project to Yoshi-P. He did the best he could with the tools he was given, and the only tool he knows is FF14.
We expect this man to produce a stellar mainline FF game while actively being the producer of the best MMO on the market while trying to finish multiple industry-leading expansions?
Square Enix is yet another example of corporate suicide by deliberate mismanagement.

- Comment on Tupperware in fight to survive after bankruptcy filing 2 months ago:
It’s all intentional. Tupperware, just like Red Lobster, Toys R Us, and every other high profile corporate bankruptcy where you just go “what were they thinking?”.
They were taken over by Boston Consulting Group, stripped for parts (any remaining $), stole the land, and rolled the debt into bankruptcy.
It’s so extreme it sounds like some shadowy co spray but this is all public, verifiable information. All these companies either directly brought in BCG or their executive teams were BCG plants.
Welcome to the efficient market of capitalism.

- Comment on Dollar General warns poorer US consumers are running out of money 2 months ago:
Much like 2008, the pandemic never actually ended. When schools reopened, every classroom in the nation was full of children on their 4th, 5th, 6th infection in a month. Thousands of people still drop dead from it every month and the US is, to this day, still experiencing 30% more per capita deaths than pre-pandemic.
Long COVID is proven to cause permanent organ damage, including brain function. We won’t know what it does to child development until decades from now but it’s already proven to increase risk-taking and reduced higher level function in adults.
The accumulation of capital continues.

- Comment on Why does the USA have so few legal protections for ordinary people, and how can we change that? 2 months ago:
And for the cherry on top, the party in the 2-party system that claims to be the “good” side trying to implement all these citizen-friendly policies have enjoyed multiple majorities in the last 40 years that would have allowed them to do these with the snap of a finger using well documented legal mechanisms.
And yet, they do not.
That liberal sneer about leftists just wanting to complain rather than fix things? Also projection.
Really weird how everywhere I turn, the “good” side is doing the same fucking thing as the bad orange side.

Somewhat related, a growing trend is to offshore English-speaking customer service roles to the Philippines. They have lighter accents and lower pay compared to Indian firms which is attractive to American business.
