- Comment on PS5 ROM Keys Leaked: Sony’s Unpatchable Security Nightmare (2026) | The CyberSec Guru 8 hours ago:
hypothetically, could they use different keys for each hardware revision? that'd help limit the impact as not every existing console would be affected. you'd think they had a plan for this in place after the PS3 keys leaked and their multiple huge security breaches

It's probably more that they said that they did not use gen AI when they did, even if it was quickly patched out
- Comment on Control Resonant - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, which means it will probably never be released on Steam, which is even worse than the timed Epic exclusives where they pay to keep games out of other store fronts for a year or whatever. Even Microsoft and Sony are rarely doing full exclusive releases like this anymore.
You'd think a developer as well known as Remedy would be able to find funding from a less restrictive publisher. Fucking Epic

Why are RGG and Sega working so hard to destroy all their goodwill from over the years ffs
- Comment on Control Resonant - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games 2 weeks ago:
Not an Epic exclusive on PC, yay! I'm sad that the masterpiece Alan Wake 2 was fucked over so much by not releasing on Steam, glad they aren't repeating that

mobile gaming is one the biggest segments of the gaming industry based on revenue. depending on how scummy their intentions are, a GabePhone could be a very good business move

It's ridiculous for the UK to issue fines to a company who doesn't operate in the country. Just block access if that's whatever your stupid laws dictate.
- Comment on More Online CO-OP Games should have option to pause 2 months ago:
Dying Light: The Beast has this, it's very refreshing. When all players go into the menu (including the inventory) the game pauses. Should be a standard feature.
- Comment on Reddit Mods Sued by YouTuber Ethan Klein Fight Efforts to Unmask Them 2 months ago:
As much as Ethan Kline is a huge douche bag, he is large part of why you can use other people's videos in a transformative way under "fair use" on YouTube. He was sued in 2016 for making a reaction video, and he fought the lawsuit and won. Some info here: https://techraptor.net/technology/news/h3h3-productions-lawsuit-helps-start-fair-use-protection-account-fupa
I haven't seen a lot about the latest lawsuit, but my understanding is that he's claiming that streamers played his unedited content adding little to no transformative content or commentary over multiple hours which doesn't count as fair use.
