Yeah, I’ve got a 2.3L engine and the heater gets warm by the time I leave the driveway. Strangely enough the 1.2L engine in my moms car takes forever.

I know someone who does this as well, mostly because he always drives with his arm hanging out the window lmfao

There is such a thing as the AC being to cold. When I turn it all the way down in my car it’s like being inside a freezer. It legitimately starts to hurt where it blows on your skin after a while. Same with the heat though, it gets so hot that you burn yourself if you touch the vents.

You’re lucky if it lets you start the car.
- Comment on Israeli authorities have beaten Greta Thunberg, made her kiss Zionist flag 3 weeks ago:
Criticizing the source is justified IMO. If they frame something easily verifieable like Thunberg’s age like this, it severely limits their credibility right out of the gate. I don’t doubt the actual contents of the statement, but empellishing the story like this hurts only their own cause and freely hands an angle of attack to their enemies.

Mankind Divided was the best Deus Ex since the original tbh. Such a shame that we’ll never get a sequel.

Maxing out the meele skill and just beating enemies over the head with the baton was so overpowered and fun. The ragdolls and sound effects never get old. The only thing weighting the game down is the limited level design IMO, something a possible remaster could easily fix.

I recently replayed IW and the overall looks just seem so much more… coherent? I guess? It’s hard to describe but in comparison the Remaster looks like it’s assets from different games merged into one.

These are the recommended system requirements. Not sure what they are doing behind the scenes but they are absolutely ridiculous for a game of this scope.

The management of the Deus Ex franchise has been bungled and set up for failure so many times. But this is definitely the most egregious one yet.

That may be true but it’s really not worth the effort if it comes with the loss of the original aesthetics and art direction IMO.

I’m kinda waiting for all the DLCs to be released for my next playthrough. I’ve already spent hundreds of hours on the first one alone.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 Launches To Mostly Negative Steam Reviews Over Performance Issues And Crashing 1 month ago:
The weirdest thing to me is that the graphics settings don’t make much of a difference. There’s like a 20 FPS gain between “Ulra” and “Lowest” and I could barely tell which one it is just based on the visuals alone. How do Unreal devs mess up their optimization so consistently across many games? Surely the problem must be somewhat related to the engine itself.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 Launches To Mostly Negative Steam Reviews Over Performance Issues And Crashing 1 month ago:
It’s Unreal Engine 5, so the bad performance is included by default. I’ve played 4 UE5 titles in recent months and all of them ran terrible even though they were far from groundbreaking graphically.
Hell, I could play the gorgeous KCD2 on high settings at a buttery smooth 60FPS but apparently I need to set everything to the very lowest and down to 720p to get the same result on much worse looking Unreal games.

I know someone who was in a car next to a semi when the tire blew. It instantly triggered the airbags, the force dented the passenger side door inwards and shattered the window. The car was a total financial loss.

Let’s hope so, such a long development isn’t necessarily a good thing (i.e. Duke Nukem).

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this trailer drop. I’ve had this game on my Steam wishlist since 2013!

I’m sorry, is this asphalt over baked paving stones? And if so, why?
This is what happened in a lot of European cities, they just paved over the cobblestone. I’ve seen something similar in a especially deep pothole in my neighborhood. Felt like a glimpse into the past.
- Comment on 4chan refuses to pay UK Online Safety Act fines, asks Trump admin to intervene 1 month ago:
I’m a bit confused by comments on this topic. Do sovereign countries not have the right anymore to decide their own laws and issue punishment when they’re not followed?
Some laws are bullshit and I commend everyone who decides to ignore them.
but if 4chan ignores them, that opens the door for other measures like delisting the site from search engines or blocking access to it from the UK (these two examples are taken from the article)
This has already happened to a number of sites and services, with some voluntarily blocking access from the UK. 4chan’s approach is just a bit different in the way that they are waiting to get blocked instead of doing the blocking themselves. It sucks for citizens from the UK, but they are the ones that put the people in power who created those laws.
Like, to the people saying UK can’t do laws which apply to services which are merely accessible in the UK and have no physical presence there, do you also apply this logic to the GDPR, which works the same way?
This has also been the case already. There are a number of American websites that will just straight up deny you access if you visit them from a EU country. Some even cite GDPR as the reason for being blocked. I don’t think it’s the best solution, but I accept it because I wouldn’t want to visit that cannot comply with it anyways.
- Comment on Hell Let Loose: Vietnam | Reveal Trailer 2 months ago:
Have you actually played Rising Storm 2: Vietnam? I thought the setting worked decently well there. And I really didn’t encounter any racism aside from popular lines like “Welcome to the ricefields mfer”. It still has a couple of full servers going even though it’s kinda outdated compared to HLL or Squad 44.
