Ok, I could probably take on 50 at a time, maybe 150 if it’s one on one.
- Comment on Potential downsides of buying a brand new soft-unlocked (carrier-unlocked) phone? 1 week ago:
DO NOT BUY FROM VERIZON if you want to unlock your bootloader. This also applies to Rogers in Canada and EE in the UK. They will force your bootloader to be locked for life, creating more e-waste. This sounds sketchy, needing to keep a phone on the same Android install to be unlocked. I would not advise you to buy this device, because I’ve never heard of this phenomenon. I can’t say for sure, but it sounds like the seller may have installed malicious apps that will be removed if the device is factory reset, so the sellers wants you to not reset it in order to keep the malicious app on the system. This is just a guess, and this could be a new scummy thing created by carriers to keep their customers attached to them.

Do infections count as a loss? If I get an infection from one and die, does that mean I couldn’t take them on? Also, is it one at a time or all of them coming at me.

I don’t think AI is ever going to completely disappear, but I think we’ve hit the barrier of usefulness for now.

It makes more sense than maga though. I don’t forsee them changing an english acronym into cyrillic, and that is the only way there could have been an error

Isn’t manga chinese art? I’m pretty sure it’s referring to that instead of maga

- Comment on FTC urged to make smart devices say how long they will be supported 1 week ago:
I think a LAN-connected machine would be good, if you could use an app or open-source, well-documented API to control the machine, but there is no reason a washing machine should need to connect to the outer internet. You can VPN into your local network if it’s that necessary to control it away from home.

For real, 90% of AI is off-device on phones, and that is bullshit.

If the programs were anything like this, I don’t blame them. There’s a fine line between child protection and surveillance.

- Comment on 16GB of RAM Could Be the New Minimum in Apple's Upcoming M4 Macs 3 weeks ago:
The amount of performance you lose is negligible compared to the amount of performance you lose in 5 years when the laptop’s processor is out of date and there’s barely enough ram to run a semi-heavy task.
- Comment on 16GB of RAM Could Be the New Minimum in Apple's Upcoming M4 Macs 3 weeks ago:
An SOC is a bad idea for laptops in my opinion, it just makes it harder to repair and less modular. I understand that it helps to compact the device, but it should only be used in phones if at all.

Yes, Linux is not perfect, but it has a much stronger community than windows which helps, and it’s improving and growing every day. You won’t face any corporate bullshit(unless you use Ubuntu), but you might have issues with hardware support, etc. There is no perfect operating system unfortunately.
