- Comment on AI boom has caused same CO2 emissions in 2025 as New York City, report claims 1 week ago:
Remember they have a lot of data centres planned. This is just the start. 8% of aviation emissions is huge. We should be shrinking that number ASAP, not growing it.
- Comment on Creating apps like Signal or WhatsApp could be 'hostile activity,' claims UK watchdog 2 weeks ago:
People ran so hard from the Tories that they didn’t consider Blue Labour would be dreadful also. Right now Labour and Tories are politically in danger and Reform and the Green Party are surging. Folk are fed up of parties not representing them. They just haven’t fully cottoned on that that also applies to Reform. Greens are probably the main hope right now. Membership trebled to 180k. Polling close to Labour.
- Comment on Creating apps like Signal or WhatsApp could be 'hostile activity,' claims UK watchdog 2 weeks ago:
They aren’t left. Starker and chums undermined the left-wing leader of Labour. They’re the pro-business wing of the party. New Labour folks were always dreadful for this sort of thing. Many authoritarian changes are coming from the centre, in UK, France, Denmark etc.
It all feels co-ordinated as states and their representatives squeeze down on working people.

Gosh, and these powers could be handed to Farage.
They could be complicit in what comes next.

In UK, you get a year warranty on electricals from the retailer. You take back and they’ll swap. No dealing with manufacturer BS.

All the more reason to build open source alternatives.

I guess 6-7 is numbers, so math and the basis of most science. We good to post that here?

Science?

Yeah, but there is more to remember. I remember BODMAS and if I forget the rules, I work it out and apply it.

Such a great game. Ridiculously immersive.
When the update is ironed out and released, I’m going for another play through.

Not OP but GrapheneOS on a Pixel probably works quite well. Got independent app stores such as FDroid etc.

Xbox version was awesome. I started on it. I “upgraded” to bedrock and had desynced drowns kill me. It just wasn’t the same.

I’d second that. I grew up in a really supportive family, but when I got to teenage years, I kept stuff to myself. Wanted to solve my problems myself. Pride and embarrassment and nothing to do with how they parented.

Do you understand what detest means?
Why folk defend a place that is full of racial slurs is beyond me? Unless they’re racist and homophobic, that is.
