What’s with the one million Saddam memes? Is this like supposed to be funny?
Usually with science memes, I’d expect not to lose brain cells looking at them…
- Comment on 100 killed in one day including children queuing for water in Gaza 1 week ago:
Gosh. Disturbing and insightful. Never thought about it that way before.

Here in the UK, the bins have wheels and the truck lifts them. They just wheel it to the vehicle
- Comment on Teen killed himself after ‘months of encouragement from ChatGPT’, lawsuit claims 2 weeks ago:
I’d second that. I grew up in a really supportive family, but when I got to teenage years, I kept stuff to myself. Wanted to solve my problems myself. Pride and embarrassment and nothing to do with how they parented.

Have you even read the full thread?
“I detest Elon and xitter as much as anyone, but there is zero comparison. If anything, it just shows how far you’ve gone.”
Do you understand what detest means?
Why folk defend a place that is full of racial slurs is beyond me? Unless they’re racist and homophobic, that is.
- Comment on 4chan refuses to pay UK Online Safety Act fines, asks Trump admin to intervene 3 weeks ago:
No. I’m making it clear equating the 2 ain’t right. It looks like you’re trying to defend and normalise 4chan.
To try and say, “yeah, there is racial slurs, but it’s great for culture” is trying to justify unacceptable views.
- Comment on 4chan refuses to pay UK Online Safety Act fines, asks Trump admin to intervene 4 weeks ago:
Maybe more, but every other post on xitter doesn’t use the n word. You cannot compare just numbers. Actions are key. 4chan is a cesspool.
- Comment on 4chan refuses to pay UK Online Safety Act fines, asks Trump admin to intervene 4 weeks ago:
Just because you’re comfortable with racial and homophobic slurs in most posts, doesn’t mean it’s not hateful.
I detest Elon and xitter as much as anyone, but there is zero comparison. If anything, it just shows how far you’ve gone.

Ughhh. It’s git. Same technology.
It’s worth learning a bit more about technology.

They probably don’t. If you see a sudden FUD, it could be astroturfing.
- Comment on Steam payment headaches grow as PayPal is no longer usable for much of the world: Valve hopes to bring it back in the future, 'but the timeline is uncertain' 4 weeks ago:
Because typing in bank details every time is a pain and saving them is a big no no as many companies seem to get hacked. Trusting only 1 company with bank details limits the blast radius.

An elaborate way of scientists saying we have no idea.
It’s like doctors and idiopathic conditions.
- Comment on Meet the AI vegans: They are choosing to abstain from using artificial intelligence for environmental, ethical and personal reasons. Maybe they have a point 5 weeks ago:
I was referring to their credibility being short lived. I have no idea of their AGI usage. I’m still annoyed that when the UK Labour party had a left wing leader, they spent a lot of effort discrediting him. They’re usually crap on Israel/Palestine and have been historically pro-zionist on the UK site.

It was short lived. It is often called the Grauniad because of poor quality typos etc. historically.

Linux for personal, Windows for work? I’d personally not mix work and personal on same device. Failing that, same OS.

Minecraft Java runs fine. Bedrock is pretty meh tbh.

Weird. I’m pretty sure I have played via steam and it worked. I’ll maybe try later if I remember.
- Comment on Google Gemini struggles to write code, calls itself “a disgrace to my species” 5 weeks ago:
It didn’t. It probably was coded not to admit it didn’t know. So first it responded with bullshit, and now denial and self-loathing.
It feels like it’s coded this way because people would lose faith if it admitted it didn’t know.
It’s like a politician.

Standard capitalism.

Because they’ve always railed against the nanny state. Kemi is a dreadful populist. It isn’t popular.
You’re simply making excuses for Keir and anyone that disagrees doesn’t understand. Copium.

Not really the narrative. Reform opposes it and Tories likely will. Only Lib Dems will complain and media ignore them anyway.
Our media are bad, but not that tabloid.

I guess in the UK, Competitive Markets Authority may be interested if all companies in a space are colluding preventing effective competition.
Not sure if they have teeth though.

Lol. Democracy.
Democracies don’t care about their citizens privacy. Just the optics of getting spied on citizens.
- Comment on UK households could face VPN 'ban' after use skyrockets following Online Safety Bill 1 month ago:
No. They could put it into a review and quietly shitcan this. It’s not particularly popular. They just want to say they’re protecting kids.
They’re spineless and Keir is an authoritarian.

what’s with the clickbait headline.
Linked source says opposite
Headline “Labour rules out VPN ban in UK but issues warning to UK households”
