- Comment on UK ‘not entirely clear’ what it means for US to ‘run’ Venezuela 2 weeks ago:
People from around the world have been furious at Americans for electing trump, and for not stopping his demolition derby. The fact that only ~32% of voters chose him, and that the US voting system is corrupted, has been irrelevant, and the millions of Americans who have repeatedly protested means nothing.
Now all nations finally have the perfect opportunity to censure this wannabe emperor, but there is only silence. Maybe a strongly worded letter or a look of disapproval? Anything? But we outnumber the fascists! This must mean every human on earth is complicit.

I worked remote tech for about ten years, and rotated through several managers. The incompetent ones were easy to spot because they “led” by squatting on bossware like toads.

Currently living in the sunniest city in the world, but had to pass on solar panels. Choices are to either buy outright or lease. The lease option is predatory as hell, but the cost of buying and maintaining outweighs the eventual savings because the power company monopoly keeps juking credits. American fuckery strikes again.

Yeah, I understand the need to take some sort of action against little adolph and this coup, but even the promoters admit that there is no objective here - so it’s only theatrics. Better to use energy and time in a manner that at least has a goal.
