What kind of a backward ass piece of shit country would allow these things to fly all over the place? This entire industry is ridiculous and doomed to fail from the start.

Can I subscribe to your social media accounts? I would like to follow your opinions.
Nah, for real though, I’m so glad my best friend is still fairly analog and we use the phone for what it is (we just call each other when we want to meet up).
Lemmy is the last of social media that I use and I regularly take breaks from it because the echo chamber is very apparent and not something I wish to be consumed by.

I believe the equivalent saying would be “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good”.
I couldn’t give a single shit about these twitter alternatives, because the whole concept is stupid.

Nazism is dead, there’s no nation-state with an army with that as national ideology.
u wot m8? You really don’t see the current situation evolving toward just sich a thing? In 4 years from now, literal Neo-Nazis will likely have the majority of the German votes. It’s Germans being Nazis again. Fuck you and your dumb fucking arguments. There has literally never been a greater threat to everyone’s freedom as right now. Fuck you and your edgy take on “Westerners”. We are living lives in the west after all.
- Comment on France to ban students from keeping smartphones in schools 1 week ago:
No, but everything else combined does. You wouldn’t even be able to perform basic multiplication tasks without school, let alone solve more complex problems. School teaches you the basics for higher education, be it Uni or vocational school.

Taking away their addictive propaganda gadgets is freedom, lol.
- Comment on France to ban students from keeping smartphones in schools 1 week ago:
Kids have no clue how the internet works for actual research. They just endlessly scroll and gobble up all of the Nazi bullshit that’s spread around. The internet is dead. Smartphones are highly efficient propaganda gadgets.

- Comment on Parents turn to smartwatches for their children amid global phone screen-time pushback 4 weeks ago:
I admit, the wording here is a bit… Weird. But my guess is, the OP just doesn’t want their kids subjected to drama 24/7. Evolution really had nothing in store to deal with the sheer amount of information that Smartphones provide. It’s unnatural and very unhealthy for the mind. Drama face to face? Sure! That’s part of life. Internet drama? Fuck that noise. Humans need rest from certain areas of life, which they don’t get with the 24/7 online aspect of phones.
I do agree with the dumbphone bit. A dumphone makes a lot of sense, e.g. in the case of an emergency. Plus, they can call their friends, which has way more social merit than texting does.

Ms flow vs power automate… It’s like they’re not even trying anymore. And that’s pretty much what it is. Monopolies stifle innovation and development.

Not entirely related, but why do so many people use Discord? What’s the appeal? I only ever used it as a replacement vor teamspeak or ventrilo. And I honestly hate most online games.

I was talking about my personal observation in Germany. We don’t give a shit about Fox. We have BILD and Nius instead. Also state media keeps inviting Nazis to talk shows. But social media is the main driver here.

You can usually change the driving mode from eco over comfort to sport. They all behave differently. And the there’s the kick down, that’ll definitely shift down unless the revs would be too high.
I love driving manual, have done it since I was 18. But automatic transmissions nowadays are really good.
- Comment on The Fediverse Isn’t the Future. It’s the Present We’ve Been Denied. 1 month ago:
In Germany it’s definitely true. You can witness this process in real-time. I already know the “arguments” the brainwashed masses come up with and if there’s some new hot take, I usually go to one of the fact checking sites and immediately find said hot take there. It’s crazy how easy it is to manipulate the masses via social media. There has never been anything more efficient than this shit.
- Comment on The Fediverse Isn’t the Future. It’s the Present We’ve Been Denied. 1 month ago:
This can be said for the internet in general. Just look at the brainwashed masses. Without easy access to the internet via smartphones, Trump, Weidel, Wilders, Meloni etc. would never stand a fucking chance.

- Comment on Nobody Wants a Nazi Electric Car 1 month ago:
That’s only half the truth though. The main reason why they’re so cheap is because they manufacture everything in the supply chain themselves. Everything. They have their own mines for their resources, they make their own batteries (which they’ve been doing for ages), they make their own electronics, they make their own software etc. They also have a completely different mindset. For them they are rolling electrical devices with some software. They don’t need the knowhow of the traditional car manufacturers. And then they bought the Audi designer along with his entire team to make the cars look good.
