1.indeed you do. Still it is advised to think before speaking. 2.I said nothing about “micro”. It sounds like you have great expertise in this area and clearly know how it all works so kudos you won 🥳
You won’t be able to do none of that, cause none of it is yours. If anything, I feel like I’m overestimating you just by having this discussion. Not clear to me why you feel so entitled to the products of others. You are a gamer, it is barly a hobby.

I agree with most of what you said,.
On the other hand -
- If you don’t like their approach, stop buying their games.
- Servers today are much more complex than what they were 25 years ago, and making them in such a way to any idiot could run on their laptop requires substantial effort. I can see how it might not be financially feasible for every company to do. Relaaing the server software will introduce a whole new category of issues that the company will need to face. Shipping a stack of 20 independent services that are orchestrated together is not a single binary, and is not meant to run on any platform.

This is a public forum, and you are acting like spoiled children. I’ll comment as I please.
Take all that superior knowledge you have about infrastructure and engineering and build your own games that conforms to your world view instead of gaming all day while complaining and consuming colorful energy drinks.
If it was important to you as you claim, you wouldn’t have supported the game publishers from the get go, but you do. It is just easier and funner to shit post instead of doing anything productive, right?
Have fun in your little echo chamber of pathetic nonsense, no one will take you seriously.

Yeah exactly but I don’t think anyone here is capable of comprehending that.

Its like the 6th on the lost or something. Clearly a lot of thought.
Running the infrastructure today is not the same as it was back when unreal was first released, for many many reasons.

I clicked, and saw an incoherent wall of text. It is not that important for me to understand what you’re whining about, and you fail to deliver your point in a manner which will result in any sympathy.
You are treating silliy video games as if it’s a matter of life and death. Why would anybody take you seriously? You make ot so easy for them to milk you for money. I suggest grow up.

Knowing basic arithmetic does not mean you know Math, and the fact you so hung up about this trivial aspect says a lot about you. Additionally, you express yourself like a boomer.

Am not a gamer, and am not informed about your little battle. So i asked a quesion, not made an argument. From the responses to my questions it is obvious how spoiled and toxic your community is. Good luck 🩷

What are you suggesting? That on once a game goes online it’ll require the company by law to keep it running forever? How many companies would still release games that requires backend if they knew it’s a never ending endeavour even if they’ll lose money from it?
Running the infrastructure to host the game’s baceknd requires money, and releasing the server code as binary or open source is not something that’ll happen.
So what is the end goal?

These elitists faciest turds are so hell bent about destroying everything for their made up stupid fucking beliefs that I actually find it hard to describe in words.
How can someone think that it’s legitimate? Why does the world stands by and supplying weapons to a bunch of religious worthless freaks while they are acting like spoiled fucking children burning everything? Israel should be occupied by a sane country and dismantled from any sovereignty it has. Israel should not be allowed to have a single had gun, let alone its own military.
We all deserve what’s coming for doing nothing about the rising fascism all around in the us, Russia, Israel etc

I wanted to ask why don’t they let you pick your own tools and mid sentence I realized it must be because you won’t be able to share work with colleagues due to compatibility issues with files.
Which means it’s bigger than the company you work for, but the same for anyone you might want to collaborate with.
There must be some open file standard for creative stuff.
Am I correct assuming that?

Have you tried running it with Wine? No idea if it’ll work, just curious.

Do you really believe watching sports is some achievement? If so than good work kid keep it up.
The fact that you think they are different is straight up pathetic.
They are both pointless games to.pass the time as a form of escapism, they are both regarded as significant while they exists only as opium for the masses.
What I rather? That these people will spend their time doing something productive for themselves and for what’s around them instead of wasting it infr9nt of screens with a ball bouncing, telling strangers online how important their silly games are and how smart they are for watching them.

What is the subtext? That spelling equals intelligence?
You were one of those “gifted kids” that can barely function as an adult now, don’t you?
We can speak in my mother tongue if you’re interested in perfect grammar, will that help your simple American mind? It seems that you understand the main point of what i said, despite the spelling errors, but clearly cannot think of anything worthy to say about it, so you try to make noise to hide your inability to think.
If you could formulate some response that is relevant to the content of my message, I’d be happy to continue this discussion. If you want to talk about my writing we can do it offline.

Most people I know that are obsessed with sports are some of the laziest sacks of flesh Ive seen. Almost none of them do any physical activity other than yelling at the screen over their fat beer gut.
Sitting on the couch watching mind numbing idiotic games of men in tight cloths running after a ball does not make you athletic or fit, if that’s what you’re thinking.
People hate sports cause it’s one of the lowest forms of entertainment, and because the people who enjoy it are misbhaved degenerates and obnoxious.
Watching sports is just the easiest thing you can immerse in without needing any significant mental capability or capacity.
You do understand that all it is is just stupid games to distract all of you.
It is unethical, it wastes huge amounts of resources, it is connected to racism nationalism and all kinds of nasty shit.
Enjoy watching Millioners kicking a ball on your flatscreen
