I would like to have modularity. Some parts I may want some not. Lemme pick and choose every other week. Some days I even want anxiety, crazy maybe but it helps with alertness.
- Comment on The Future of AI Belongs to Those Who Care Most About Humanity. 1 week ago:
You’re right. Right now, AI is in the hands of those who seek profit first. But if we walk away and treat this as a lost cause, we are handing them full control. The only way to prevent AI from becoming just another tool of exploitation is for those who care about humanity to actively shape its development. If we don’t take part in guiding AI’s values, we will have no say in what it becomes.

Yes as long as business is accessible in EU it must set up hq in one of the eu countries and report data on sellers.
If we weren’t all preoccupied with spectating usians collapsing themselves maybe we would act before this thing came into power

I am extremely curious how does it stack against DAC7 European Directive 2021/514 from 22 march 2021.

In my local area government interrogates selling boards about my data what I sell and such. I wonder if this could be forever resistant to authorities provided somebody actually uses it?

I always felt very smug about the fact that biotech had labs below chem engineers in uni. Like they were somewhere there below and squeezed into the spare free spaces

Kinda meaningless in the age of digital. Back then once you burned a book the knowledge literally was gone.

Interwebs are too addicting. It’s like we are all in one room and are snorting coke by ourselves.
It’s one thing to read a newspaper or a book, different one to scroll social media in an infinite loop of dopamine

War movies all lost luster if they ever had any after watching a lot of real footage due to Ukraine. It’s just all romanticised crap.

Fediverse is not super far from original internet idea with one exception of convenient block feature. Let’s hope that’s enough to prevent the sequel.

I have continuous doubts if a tankie having nick after Jean-Jacques Dessalines can exhibit any grown up behaviour. It’s like 15 year old pretending for a while to be all democratic and responsible but who knows what’s in that edgy head.
