- Comment on Why are public school teachers so underpaid in the US? 17 hours ago:
School budgets are tied to property taxes for the district the schools serve.
- Comment on How to I prove to someone that the U.S. moon landing wasn't staged? 1 week ago:
I always felt that the most compelling argument that we did it was that faking it was too risky. If America faked it and the USSR went up and found no evidence that America got up there then that would have been impossible for America’s position on the global stage. Remember the Apollo missions happened during the Cold War. Irrefutable proof that America pretended to go to the moon would have been deeply damaging to idea that the might of capitalism was greater than the communists.
America left lots of stuff up on the moon with the idea that someday someone would go back up and see it.
It’s also not really a big deal if your friend doesn’t believe we went to the moon. What is their ignorance harming, really? They’re another cog in the great machine of capital and neither their intelligence nor wisdom is required to keep it spinning
- Comment on How to I prove to someone that the U.S. moon landing wasn't staged? 1 week ago:
There are indeed. I think at least 1 mission laid out 3 reflectors in a triangle so the distance to the moon could be calculated?
- Comment on Americans: How the hell do you meet new people or get into relationships after college? 1 week ago:
You don’t need to get shitfaced at a bar. 1 drink per hour is under the legal limit for driving. I find it’s enough to loosen up and if you politely decline further drinks nobody will bother you. And if they’re pushy order a sprite with a twist on the rocks. So it looks like you’re drinking alcohol but really you’re staying sober
- Comment on It's kind of funny how we mocked old people for years over mispronouncing "meme" and as soon as they got it right, we came up with "Pepe" 1 week ago:
Famous cartoon skunk and sexual abuser Pepe le pew came first.
- Comment on McDonald’s CEO’s awkward taste test sparks mocking online: ‘His aura screams kale salad’ 1 week ago:
Seriously. He took a normal size bite for someone who doesn’t want to get messy. The internet is acting like he needs to take a tv commercial sized mega bite to oversell how good the burger is.
Dude is clearly just a tidy awkward human and the internet is convinced that means the food is bad
- Comment on Earbugld question: Does anyone actually like to silicone tipped earbuds over the solid plastic ones? 2 weeks ago:
I like the ones with memory foam tips. The rubber mushroom tip ones make distracting noises when you move around while wearing them. They amplify noise from the cable rubbing on stuff so they’re really only good when you’re sitting still.
But if im sitting still I’d rather wear over the ear headphones
- Comment on I love funsubs so much! 2 weeks ago:
I watched the first 100 or so episodes of naruto with funsubs. I was so disappointed when I went back and watched the official sub. (The dub is absolutely terrible and if you like it i do not trust your opinion on any piece of media at all)

I think the wing would include a sizable amount of pepe from before its co-opting by chuds, as well as work by the lefty creator who continues to use the frogs in fictional work unrelated to western fascism.
- Comment on Samsung reveals first tri-fold phone 3 months ago:
The billion dollar co-op huawei has a bifold tablet that includes a physical, detachable keyboard.
But go-off Samsung. Now they’ve got 3 times the screen to auto- install their shitty games on
- Comment on They still have a lot to scrub out of those files 3 months ago:
Trump sourced children for Epstein to traffic. We’ve mostly been focusing on girls that were trafficked, but i wouldn’t be surprised in the least if boys were trafficked as well

- Comment on I always wondered why hotel rooms had bibles 4 months ago:
My father in law died in his 50s. Both his parents outlived him. They donated thousands of dollars to gideons for bibles. My wife checks every bible on every hotel room now trying to find one with her father’s name in it.
The irony is that he was an atheist and my wife is Jewish. But grandma and grandpa er devout Christians
- Comment on A young woman was sexually assaulted while out DoorDashing. Two days after she reported the assault to DoorDash, they deactivated her account and she can't access the money she's owed. 4 months ago:
If the door was open and there was no response when you rang/ called out and you expected someone to be there i think it’s pretty normal to want to enter and make sure whomever was at home was ok. Filming your entry would be smart too. The girl might have expected to find someone injured or maybe even a corpse.

- Comment on You can't make this shit up 5 months ago:
Why is trumpos signature so different on that novelty check? His signature is famous and looks nothing like that. It looks exactly like the signature of on the birthday poem to Epstein with the drawing of the adolescent girl.
It’s starting to feel like that check is getting spread around intentionally to discredit all attempts to link trump and Epstein

- Comment on Taylor Swift’s new album comes in cassette. Who is buying those? 6 months ago:
Swift is a billionaire. She did not become a billionaire by releasing her albums in single formats. Streaming, cds, multiple collector editions in vinyl and now cassettes. Agree writes music to appeal to the most people possible and then creates as many different sources for her fans to give her money as she can.

- Comment on Why did AT&T think "Eye of Sauron" was the way to go? 7 months ago:
Probably the designers off the tower knew about ATT surveillance and pitched the idea to clueless executives in order to remind the public about the all seeing eye of massive telecommunication giants
