Thanks for the mod suggestions! At the moment I only use farseer (I like pretty vistas). Not being able to move chests was annoying but I managed. Auto map markers sounds useful!

Vintage Story! It's hard core Minecraft for adults. It's never on sale so don't wait for that. It's been really fun so far, both genuinely and in the Dwarf Fortress "fun" way. I'm coming up on my first winter with no tin for bronze, no warm clothing, only a single (but decent) harvest in my cellar and no livestock except for two boars without a sow to breed them with 😅

This week I finished "Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark" (EGS freebie) and launched my first rocket in "Factorio". Both are great games.
For Darkside Detectives, the site nicegamehints.com was really useful. It contains a lot of hints for games that help you without spoilering stuff for you. Great if you get really stuck.
Factorio was great too. I will definitely be playing more of it, but I'm taking a break to prevent burning myself out. I finished with every research unlocked and a Spidertron built. I used zero imported blueprints. But my factory was structured in such a way that it was impossible to grow much further without tearing most of it down (scaling up oil is hard!).
For now I'm playing "Far Cry: Primal" which I had in my backlog for some time. The first few hours have been fun but installing almost made me refund it. Ubisoft Connect is horrible and the service wouldn't sent me the confirmation mail I needed. And after that the game bugged out on my high DPI display, until I figured out how to change display setting without a mouse. I'll think twice (nay, thrice!) about buying a Ubisoft game in the future.

X4 is great! But it's not really a flying game. You start off flying in a space ship yes, but by mid-game you it turns into a grand strategy game. You'll probably spend more time on the map screen and hire an AI pilot to do the flying for you. Still a great game though!
