even if you’re data is actually deleted, you can sure it’s been processed by AI already. thinking otherwise is a pure fantasy. Google does not simply give up data. just just dont. live in your fantasy all u like though

I’m gonna keep it real with you brother. You’re never getting it truly deleted. Or at least, not likely. Big tech has shown that they HATE permanently deleting data, and will do everything in their power to not do so.

I have seen certain links on the internet, where,
The text reads “example.com”, and when you hover over it, the little textbox at the bottom left also reads “example.com”
but if you click to open the link in a new tab or if you right click and copy the link and paste it in the address bar, it’s actually a completely different link
it’s shady af! and im wondering if it’s the same thing as what this article is describing, and if not, how they are able to do it?

does it connect by default to already-existing invidious instances? guess im confused now
- Comment on Expanding Materialious to other platforms 6 months ago:
yeah but clipious just connects to existing invidious instances, so it’s just a frontend to invidious. you are making your own frontend and backend both
- Comment on Expanding Materialious to other platforms 6 months ago:
I agree with Mora. it’s a really bad idea to make this in a whole different project. it splits up communities, creates confusion, and reduces anonymity sets.
Why not work with the invidious team and get your theme added to the project, and maybe contribute the other changes you may have made?
god knows invidious needs a way better UI/UX anyway

- Comment on Deleting facebook account without consenting to new EU ad policy or paying the subscription 7 months ago:
yeah learning about data brokering and collection is pretty depressing…
The best course of action is to not give data in the first place and trust no one, always protect yourself first and foremost. As much as you can anyway.
- Comment on Deleting facebook account without consenting to new EU ad policy or paying the subscription 7 months ago:
They are already doing that bro.
Look, if your data is with facebook to begin with, it’s over. Everyone knows it. They are doing whatever they want. You agreed to it just by using their services. They are just giving you an option on what you wanna see.
- Comment on [deleted] 7 months ago:
explain?
- Comment on Deleting facebook account without consenting to new EU ad policy or paying the subscription 7 months ago:
afaik consenting to seeing targetted ads does not affect data collection at all, only affects what you see. Trust me, Facebook is going to collect data on you regardless lol. I’d recommend just accepting to see ads so that you can go and delete your account.
But if you’re doing it so that Facebook will delete your account, then dont expect the data to actually be deleted. Facebook doesnt care about the law, and you have no way to verify that it’s deleted.
What goes onto the internet generally stays their for forever. Security through obscurity is your best option in that case.

jitsi really screwed up, it’s unusable now. they took down their default instance without explanation, and put it behind big tech logins.
half the public instances dont work either, there’s no clear indication of e2ee in the UX either
