I love the series but hate the company. I’ll consider returning when Cross has a PC release.

Counterpoint, 90% of dogs are pets and police dogs are selectively bred and trained for taking down suspects. Plus, how many of those people die? Predators don’t risk injury while hunting unless completely starved, wolves are pack hunters that surround their prey.

I’d like you to look at this comment thread. They made the outlandish claim that Black People are the majority of prisoners in the USA, and then when corrected they said to exclude every other minority except white and black, and then when they were corrected yet again because it was still wrong with their added stipulations they said White People are not a racial demographic but Black People are.
This isn’t a discussion about the definition of white in historical contexts, this is that user Orrk making a wildly inaccurate claim and wanting to metaphorically die on that hill.

You realize there are at least 15 different ethnicities currently in Africa, right? Then there are also dark tones from islands, Americas, and Asia in addition. Black is also just a concept. You’re not having a “gotcha” moment, you’re having an aneurysm.

For real, but Grizzlies are the second worst outcome you could end up with in the bear category.
- Comment on The second matchup of the tournament 1 day ago:
I’ve dealt with wolves at the wildlife sanctuary before. They’re big stupid smelly dogs. If you can flex your arm real good they won’t be able to tear into you, and if you can put your weight on them you’ve already won.
Definitely don’t recommend it for people with brittle bones, or discord mods, but I’m jacked af bro.
- Comment on The second matchup of the tournament 1 day ago:
You’re not completely wrong, but if safety is your concern then you should really be operating under the assumption that the animal will attack you. In that case you’ve chosen a 200 kg gorilla who can climb over a 40 kg wolf who can’t. Bears are actually the heavier of the three depending on race and gender, and some of them can climb while others cannot.

Can men participate in the tourney, this time?
Wolf. It’s a singular wolf, so it honestly cannot beat me if it tried. Even if we assume the other two are more docile, all they need to do is try and I would be dead.

Got it, white people aren’t people with white skin but all people with dark skin are black people. Understood, sir.
- Comment on Stack Overflow Users Are Revolting Against an OpenAI Deal | WIRED 2 days ago:
It’s purely because of how easy it is to create and manage a community. Imagine if there were a way to make a Lemmy instance without any fees or knowledge of selfhosting, it would be an instant success.

Alright, I’ll bite, what’s the FOSS endgame?
- Comment on Stack Overflow Users Are Revolting Against an OpenAI Deal | WIRED 2 days ago:
It gives worse answers and hallucinates a lot, problems specific to the model’s design and not how much training data it gets. Even if it did work, it would be taking jobs away from actual programmers. It’s a total net negative, users have nothing to benefit from this. Plus, since this is a community of programmers, they’re all very much aware of these limitations and the lack of ethics of OpenAI.
- Comment on David McBride: Australian army whistleblower jailed for leaking documents 2 days ago:
To be clear, he isn’t being jailed because he negatively impacted security of his country. Far from it. He is being jailed because he made his country aware of crimes that their soldiers were committing overseas.

After about a week they make the lowest tiered manager start pulling with the horse for an extra 30c and then that manager quits and eventually the company realizes infinite growth is no longer possible so they sell out to another company.

When I saw this post yesterday I just thought “Ha, suck it dumb corporations who don’t know how to make their own IP work.”
But now that I’m seeing it again I just had the realization “HOL UP, raytracing? N64 Raytracing?”
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 3 days ago:
I am genuinely curious if CCP subsidizing cheap steel and aluminium on the global market can be sustained and for how long. If they control output then they’ve probably got the land resources and authority to keep it up for decades, right? Somebody should do a study on this.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 3 days ago:
Well, they’re actually heavily subsidizing steel and aluminium, which are coincidentally what these Tariffs are for. It was never about EVs specifically.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 3 days ago:
Well the USA and just about every other nation runs a regulated Market System, not a Laissez Faire Capitalism.

I’m gaslighting? Me? Not the news article trying to convince the left that they’re anti-EV?
- Comment on May 13, 1985 4 days ago:
LMFAO even if you decide to arbitrarily exclude all other minorities from our total for no reason at all, Blacks still aren’t the majority.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 4 days ago:
Correct. Tariff’s on Aluminium and Steel. More importantly, they cite the video of Biden giving a speech about steel and aluminium.
Imagine this as a headline:
Breaking News: President Biden Announces War on Chinese Soda.
That is an equally true title.
- Comment on we are in dire need of new memes to criticize marxist-leninists 4 days ago:
Well, I guess we could make memes about Xi Jinping removing his own term limits, being elected by 97% of congress, burning down temples, sending troops to quell protests, filling in the sea, attacking Philippine fishing boats, or the concentration camps. Idk. Seem kind of in poor taste. Except for filling in the sea, thats got potential.
- Comment on we are in dire need of new memes to criticize marxist-leninists 4 days ago:
Perhaps memes as a form of criticism of socioeconomic structures headed by authoritarianism is only something dumbasses maoists do?
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 4 days ago:
The Tariff is actually against Steel and Aluminium heavily subsidized by the CCP and flooding the market. At no point in Biden’s speech did he talk about EVs or electronics.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 4 days ago:
The tariffs are for Steel and Aluminium, intentionally shifting the discussion to EVs is disingenuous, just like the article.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 4 days ago:
He actually doesn’t talk about EVs at all, this tariff is against cheep steel and aluminum that the CCP is subsidizing.
- Comment on Biden really, really doesn’t want China to flood the US with cheap EVs 4 days ago:
Actually, he’s announced increasing the existing tariffs against Chinese Steel and Aluminium. He didn’t even talk about EVs at all.
