Uber effectively weaseled their way into the taxi industry by somehow enticing drivers to work for them while also assuming all of the liabilities. Truly, capitalism at its finest.
- Comment on Study: 83% of Americans will have to work into their 70s in order to afford to retire 4 months ago:
This is very, very bad for the future outlook of our country. It’s real, we’re in it. Something significant is going to have to change soon.
- Comment on OP: "This is my most advance moon photograph EVER it consist of 81000 images and over 708GB of data." (see comments.) 4 months ago:
This image does a good job at making me realize we have explored basically nothing on the moon. SO much more to explore, yet we act like there’s no point trying to send more astronauts to the moon for decades. Please, increase NASA budget more.
- Comment on Singlehood is on the rise around the world. New evidence suggests many single people are choosing to remain single and living happy lives. 4 months ago:
The study falls short having no comparison to non-single people who are insecure. If the percentage of insecure non-single people is also 78% then being single has no impact on insecurity.

In our beautiful current year of 2024 the fucker is running again after being impeached twice, after losing in 2020, after becoming a convicted felon.

The instant Russia attempted to invade Ukraine they began to lose. This graph is all I need to see to know what’s happening.
- Comment on Images leak of Valve's next game, and it's an Overwatch-style hero shooter 5 months ago:
Ugh, as if we don’t have enough of this kind of game already. SMITE 2 and Marvel Rivals are coming soon. Valve for fucks sake, look at how well Half Life: Alyx did. I seriously hope they’re working on a future Half Life game or some new story driven style game at the very least. I’m calling it now, Deadlock is going to be another Artifact.

This orange slime fuck would suck an oil executives cock just for fun.
- Comment on Helium-3: Mining the fuel of the future on the Moon 6 months ago:
You can’t launch a rocket using solar. Nuclear is exactly what helium-3 will provide. Speculation is the first step of exploiting the Moon’s value.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helium-3#Nuclear_fuel
Do your research before acting like you know what you’re writing about. There are so many things to complain about when it comes to capitalism, this is not one of them.
- Comment on Helium-3: Mining the fuel of the future on the Moon 6 months ago:
Solar sails don’t produce a significant amount of thrust, you didn’t answer my question.
- Comment on Helium-3: Mining the fuel of the future on the Moon 6 months ago:
How do you suggest producing a significant amount of thrust in a vacuum using the sun?
- Comment on EA wants to place in-game ads in its full-price AAA games, again 6 months ago:
That’s all they are now. RIP EA Redwood Shores. 🥲
- Comment on EA wants to place in-game ads in its full-price AAA games, again 6 months ago:
Dead Space from 2008 is such a good game. EA has fallen so far. I don’t see myself ever buying another EA game at this point.
- Comment on Stack Overflow bans users en masse for rebelling against OpenAI partnership — users banned for deleting answers to prevent them being used to train ChatGPT 6 months ago:
That’s a terrible analogy, implying the wish that everyone on the plane dies if one engine fails.
It’s like an airline company has been complete shit for decades, wanting to see them fail fast so that a better airline company can take their place.

The enshittification is very real and is spreading constantly. Companies will leech more from their employees and users until things start to break down. Acceleration is the only way.
- Comment on Mean world syndrome has reacted a fever pitch. 6 months ago:
The true solution is to be single. It’s great, I suggest everyone try it.

- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
Let me just believe you’d be that stupid to make that comment after knowing how difficult it is to quit.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
No, they don’t. I used to smoke, nicotine is a fucking bitch of a drug, somehow I managed to quit using vaping and nicotine gum over 2 years. Beef is not an addictive chemical. You must never have experienced nicotine drug, what a naive ass comment to make.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
go make your government ban beef
I would get them to end all subsidies for the beef industry if I could. Unfortunately I’m not in control of that, all I can do is bring up discussion, and I got you to comment, so I succeeded.
- Comment on [Serious] Why do so many people seem to hate veganism? 6 months ago:
Because it requires them to admit that what they’re choosing to do is damaging the planet more significantly than they need to in order to survive.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
“We” are informed individuals who care about proven scientific facts.
“Know” is the fact that methane is a strong greenhouse gas.
No, when it comes to something factually proven time and time again. Anyone can “know” anything but that doesn’t mean they’re correct.
I’ve gone through many mind changing events in my life time, so has everyone else.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
Theres no such thing as a corporation without consumers, we are where the buck is created, and where the buck stops.
Absolutely correct, glad to have read your comment. People need to start realizing they play a role in what’s to come. It’s a terrible mentality to think we don’t all have our effect on the future.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
Nah, you just don’t give a shit to believe you have any control over reality.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 months ago:
Good, discussion has gotten stale as fuck on the internet. I don’t want to see Lemmy become some censored smooth brained shit pool like Reddit.

I wonder if you’re capable of experiencing the irony of writing that, or are just as stupid as you claim all humans to be. Are you stupid? Do you trust yourself to write things that make sense? Just asking based on your own generalized claim. Unless of course you are a bot, then this comment is a waste of time.
- Comment on Generative AI could soon decimate the call center industry, says CEO 6 months ago:
Doesn’t sound insane to me, sounds like a perfect example of the state of the US healthcare system. I stopped paying for healthcare 2 years ago, best decision I ever made.
