Bunch of lonely old men, it’s quite sad if they weren’t quite so horrible

- Comment on Many of the younger generations of folks don't know what it's like to watch TV series out of order by virtue of channel surfing on live TV and grabbing random episodes here and there 1 week ago:
There was a charm to it, I discovered lots of programs from the randomness, one of which is my all time favourite doctor who (it caught me off guard as I saw what I now know was the third doctor Jon Pertwee being beaten up by Morris dancers). It’s the one thing I wish was integrated into streaming services. Just a ramdomiser button and it plays whatever.

- Comment on Michelle Yeoh Admits “We Could Have Done Better” With ‘Star Trek: Section 31’ 2 weeks ago:
I know it wasnt the greatest thing that’s ever been done under the star trek name, but I do think this could be the thing to get non Trekkies into trek. It was basically a fast and furious / mission impossible movie that happened to be in the star Trek universe. Sometimes something stupid but accessible can get people into a larger franchise. I am also really into Thunderbirds, the old puppet show made in the 60’s it got repeated in the UK in the 90’s and became a huge phenomenon way bigger than the first time it was shown. So inevitably a live action movie was made in the 00’s and it was absolutely awful, however when I have encountered younger fans who are into Thunderbirds they always point to the live action as their first exposure to it which led onto the original show. The only way was up once you got into it.

- Comment on Pride rainbows taken off police cars after court ruling 1 month ago:
It’s honestly getting depressing here in the UK the vast majority of people are good honest open minded people, but for some reason single bigoted people keep being allowed to make the place worse in the name of ‘free speech’ the results going to be the police staying away to be impartial and a bunch of reform voting trogladites causing trouble in the name of free speech.
- Comment on The Los Angeles Police Department shot an Australian reporter with a rubber bullet while she was live on TV. Zero provocation. 3 months ago:
Zero justification, not a stray bullet etc, he literally aims and shoots at the camera, what in the fuck is going on over their?

I know but that didn’t stop people screaming at me because of something I warned them about when they bought the damn thing.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 months ago:
My first job was working in a camera shop in the mid 00’s these were just about still for sale, and I hated them because people would buy them because of the floppy disk, see that at 2 megapixel they could only hold a couple of pictures so would then down the resolution to fit more on a disk and then come storming into us a week or so later because we ‘ruined’ their holiday photos or whatever because they were taking them at the lowest resolution and would be a grainy mess.

- Comment on Man, I really slept on Days Gone (mini review) 4 months ago:
A lot of people missed it when it launched it came out on the heels of the last of us so people assumed it was a clone, it was also massively bugged on launch. The upcoming TV version has renewed interest in it though so depending on how that does we may get a sequel. Also did you know there are hidden clues it may be the same world as syphon filter?
- Comment on Starmer told to accept Trump ‘free speech’ agenda to win trade deal 5 months ago:
The fact that bloody Nigel farage is never off the TV proves that free speech is real in the UK. But of course this is trump’s free speech so what he means is certain people should be deported just for existing.
