Not support or a plug for them but, if you are in the USA and are curious… NetZero Dial-up service
It’s still a thing for some people…

I don’t have anything specific to share but, you could also checkout IRC and see if there are any retro groups hanging out there. Plenty of servers still active (Snoonet, Libera, etc.), there could be something to fit your use case.
- Comment on How did you decide what you generally wanted to do with your life? 2 months ago:
I didn’t… I stumbled in to it, by accident, realized I knew what I was doing, found a full time job. It pays the bills now… but man it’s not fun anymore.
To be honest, “what I do with my life” is not the right question.
What do you want to do as a career, is different. You can have a career / job and still do “other things with your life”.
Separate the two… find something you can tolerate that pays well (as another poster said), then go find things that make you happy when you do them for enjoyment.

All the preparation was worse than the procedure itself. Out like a light for the whole thing.

Just a suggestion but take a look at this list… all of them should be either open source or at least free (trials, lite versions, etc.).
Find out what you use at work and see if there’s a trial version or if they use open source.
If not most of these tools are known and you may be able to find help online (forums, Lemmy, Reddit, etc.).
