Sounds like attempts to further drive engagement - every second you spend on a platform matters for them, as it gives them more time to show you ads and earn money. Its not enough to manipulate via algorithms designed to invoke an emotional response in you, now its time to trick you into staying longer by progressing in games, getting coins, achievements or other shiny stuff.
- Comment on Tesla loses Autopilot wrongful death case in $329 million verdict 1 month ago:
Surprisingly great outcome, and what a spot-on summary from lead attorney:
“Tesla designed autopilot only for controlled access highways yet deliberately chose not to restrict drivers from using it elsewhere, alongside Elon Musk telling the world Autopilot drove better than humans,” said Brett Schreiber, lead attorney for the plaintiffs. “Tesla’s lies turned our roads into test tracks for their fundamentally flawed technology, putting everyday Americans like Naibel Benavides and Dillon Angulo in harm’s way. Today’s verdict represents justice for Naibel’s tragic death and Dillon’s lifelong injuries, holding Tesla and Musk accountable for propping up the company’s trillion-dollar valuation with self-driving hype at the expense of human lives,” Schreiber said.

**Baldur’s Gate **3 for me. Played for around 70 hours after the launch, recently started fresh after the the final updates. What a game! Going with entirely new team, first time I’ve played as custom Druid with Shadowheart, Karlach and Gale as the good guy, this time I’m going more chaotic with my Gnome Bard featuring Lae’zel, Astarion and Wyll.
