- Comment on What game is a guilty pleasure of yours? 2 weeks ago:
As weird as it sounds: Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (The OG one).
On the surface, it’s a shit platformer game for kids, but what makes it interesting is the ways you can break the game and the lively speedrunning community. If you just try to play the game by following its rules, you’re going to have a bad time.
However, if you use cool speedrunning glitches and exploits, it becomes much more fun to break the game in ways the developers didn’t intend. I tend to play from time to time 100%ing it using exploits to reach locked areas earlier, skip entire sections, and play some levels backwards.

Currently, I’m replaying The Witcher 3, and the main annoyance I’m having right now is not being able to pause during timed choices (and timed choice are a whole other problem in games too).
You can pause during non-time-sensitive dialog choices, but not during timed ones. I don’t know why they specifically deny pausing for those. Maybe to prevent people from pausing and thinking it out? But, some of these times sensitive choices greatly effect the story. I want to be able to think about these choices when they effect the story.
- Comment on What do you do when you have a cold and can't take medicine? 3 weeks ago:
Get a lot of tissues if your nose is running. Sometimes I will lay down and listen to a podcast, other times I might try to do something at my desk.
Hope you feel better, OP.
- Comment on Are there good Movies, TV Shows, Anime, with wholesome family (particularly parent-child) relations? 1 month ago:
For anime: Sweetness and Lightning.
It’s about a single father cooking different dishes for his daughter with the help of one of his students.
- Comment on How would you quickly describe Lemmy to a non-fediverse person? 1 month ago:
A bunch of smaller Reddits all combined together, without karma, and more tech-focused content.

- Comment on Once again, looking for PS2 game suggestions! 2 months ago:
Burnout 3 is one of the best arcade racing games for this generation.
I see you have Kingdom Hearts II in there. There’s also the original Kingdom Hearts as well.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run is like GTA but more “family-friendly”.
There’s also other Ratchet & Clank games on the PS2, including the original, Going Commando, and Deadlocked.
If you like racing games, Need for Speed: Underground 2 is one of the best games in the NFS series. IMO it’s better than Underground 1.
Also, appreciate the guide for higher res textures.

Read it again. It won’t be over if you don’t let it be over.

- Comment on For people who want to play their favorite games but are unable to, what are you currently doing? 5 months ago:
When I was in a situation where I couldn’t play any games I wanted, I would watch no commentary, 100% playthroughs of my games so I could see all the content they have.
Yes, it’s not the same as actually playing it, but it’s better than not ever seeing what the game is about.

- Comment on JPMorgan researchers say they have generated and certified truly random numbers using a quantum computer, a world-first with potential security and trading uses. 8 months ago:
Is it truly random though? If in a specific point in time, the number generated is always the same, then that’s not truly random.
Absolute true randomness would be a different result every time it is generated in that specific point in time.
A bit Sci-Fi and probably unrealistic opinion, but it does make me curious about how this kind of randomness could be implemented.
