Have you ever considered that trans people are the reason that we don’t keep progressing forever? /s

I got a driver from the airport to my hotel in Rome. I decided that in Rome you’re allowed to break one law at a time while driving. So you could drive on the wrong side of the road but you still had to respect that red traffic light unless you got back onto the right side of traffic.

Comes out perfectly fluffy every time. I love my Zojirushi. There’s a reason they’re a standard wedding present in Japan. Super high quality and buy-it-for-life.
- Comment on nothing really matters 1 week ago:
Yeah, that Zojirushi has enough computers in it to adjust to most user mistakes. And anyone spending the money on one would know that.

Combined with the various bold statements and it paints quite a picture of just how controlling this person is.

Or I receive an already open item. I get those so much that that alone stops me from using amazon.

Good lord, how many armpits do you have!?
- Comment on Make a note 2 weeks ago:
You can’t consider that without also considering the alternative: Is going sober at a festival preferable to possibly taking too many edibles while in public?
- Comment on Political leaning 2 weeks ago:
It’s absolutely plausible. I know a guy who posts just like this.
- Comment on Talents leave AI companies: "They are putting profits over sanity and safety" 3 weeks ago:
Yup. Lots of managers are forcing people to use AI so they can report doing so in their metrics.

I really fucking hate how his fans can just listen to him lie like this over and over and it doesn’t affect their opinion of him. I remember falling for it a couple times before I started asking “Is this like the last time you promised dates?”
By that time it was a moot point, however, because that “pedo guy” comment was just around the corner. Now anyone who likes him after that needs to go to therapy to figure out a few things.
I won’t comment on people who support him after the other things.

“You’re not opposing me. All you’ve done is create a problem that will stop me until I have it figured out.” is the description of every struggle between opposing forces, so it’s interesting that you disagree with that.

Somebody wants to drink their coffee out of Marvin The Martian and this poster is committed to not let anyone enjoy such a thing.
- Comment on Windows users keep losing files to OneDrive, and many don't know why 1 month ago:
Okay, because you’re responding to a person saying they’ve lost files, on an article thread about people losing files. You seem to have all the tools to understand what’s being discussed and yet you’re still being obtuse about it.
- Comment on Windows users keep losing files to OneDrive, and many don't know why 1 month ago:
You don’t have backups for your files on Google drive?

“There are worse grifts” is not the discussion point you think it is.

Your statement dodges the point in many ways.

Celebrities with distinct looks almost by definition have to be exceptions to this discussion. Wearing a giant clock necklace to work would absolutely be weird unless it were Flavor Flav.

When I was young my parents encouraged me to watch Marx Brothers, Three Stooges, and Abbott & Costello. These are easy things for children to watch because the physical comedy is universal.
As I got older my love for them remained, but also it gave me a love for media from any age. So long as it’s done reasonably I think this sort of thing can be quite enriching.

Fatty meat will result in a lot of grease that if poured down the sink will solidify on the walls of your drain pipes.

It’s very possible, dare I say preferred, to have a traditional Thanksgiving spread getting made in the kitchen while someone grills up some veggies.
- Comment on Bounce bounce bounce 8 months ago:
For me, leg bouncing isn’t ‘helping’ anything so much as my leg just does that and to stop it takes constant effort. The moment I get distracted it goes back to bouncing.

Google search feels like it has stopped being the magic it was. Now whenever I search for something I might not find it underneath all the stuff on sale. For the first time in I don’t know how many years I’ve been finding myself using something else like Duck Duck Go.
