Lets hope they stay true to their words and do not deprecate
Manifest V2
later, since firefox is an open source project, theoretically anyone could fork it and build this on their own, but I heard compile-times for firefox is long. And as complexity of the web increases maintaining your own forked web browser will become harder and harder. That is why projects like Ladybird are important imo.As more and more webpages do not support firefox anymore (Notion did not work for me today) the web will become unusable in a dystopian Manifest-V3 only future.

As Firefox will introduce Manifest V3 which will make ad-blockers unusable, I hope they will not implement that as well … But I forsee this will not have any add-ons at all

Now I Question why this should be better than wood? While trees grow fine in nature without human presence, the Mushrooms breeding has to be closely monitored and energy has to be invested into nutrients and temperature regulation. Maybe wood and Mushrooms could be combined but I do not see this completely remove the wood use case.

If you do not live in a dictatorship you have no right to comment on the usefulness of a privacy preserving tool. Maybe you do not see its value, but others in different situations than yours might need it.

So you want oppressed people to use the Chinese Yuan or Russian Rubel and Argentinian Pesos as their Currency (super unstable in value due to inflation, highly surveiled) rather than giving them choice to use something like Monero to transact in privacy?

Lawyers and copyright issues-- the legal system, they are probably always bombarded from all sides by the legal industry and content creators on copy right issues.

So divert the flow to africa maybe? where they do not have smart phones yet? Oh – they do not have electricity networks there, so maybe sell them with solar chargers.
