I don’t think I saw it mentioned but if you’re already running/subbed to bitdefender av then you can install that on phone to detect it.

- Comment on Is it possible to install my own OS on a "smart" TV? Is that a thing? 3 months ago:
I’d imagine you could probably get into the android developer settings and disable all the telemetry stuff through adb and install a custom launcher like projectivity and that’d be the closest you could get to running a custom tv OS at least if you can’t flash it.
- Comment on The BenQ beCreatus GR10 USB4 Steam Deck Dock is simply great 3 months ago:
Like the inclusion of USB 4 and HDMI 2.1. 4k120hz is nice but it’s too bad the deck can’t currently support that. Might buy one just to have for a future deck 2 support of the high refresh rate 4k.

- Comment on Hacking Kia: Remotely Controlling Cars With Just a License Plate. 5 months ago:
I’ve noticed a lot of issues showing up for the Kia and Hyundai cars security wise. I wonder if they’re having issues because there’s more focus on those cars or if their security is really that bad.

I wouldn’t say anything specifically better or worse compared to sync but it’s close enough, feature wise, that I found myself using it more and there’s no ads.
- Comment on Current best lemmy clients 6 months ago:
I used to only use Sync coming from reddit. No other app was able to replace it until I started using Summit. Now Summit is pretty much all I use for Lemmy.

- Comment on Hyundai and Kia car thefts fall sharply after software upgrade, study finds 6 months ago:
“Hyundai and Kia aren’t alone in this high-tech fight. The same resellers offer console-like devices that can brute force key combinations for modern Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota vehicles, among other makes not sold in the U.S.”
Didn’t even see that part in the article that’s concerning. Maybe not all manufacturers but a lot of them need to step their security up then.
