Xen when you have to jump on those space manta rays to get to the floating island is mega annoying
- Comment on It's 2025 now, what are the games you'll be starting the year with? 4 weeks ago:
I finally decided to go further than the elevator in MGS, so probably that, and hopefully follow up with the whole franchise (i only played mgs5 for about 5 hours).
I also started playing Black Book, interesting deck building game !

Oh yes, I played it last year, it moved me so much, it felt like what video games have best to offer as an art medium

I just started playing Potionomics (store.steampowered.com/app/1874490/Potionomics/), and I’m loving it, chill and easy to pick up but with some depth, the animation and art is great

- Keep talking and nobody explodes: incredible fun with friends, even better if the help has the documents physically printed, there’s this magic that happens when you frantically search for the right page and try to keep calm
- Titanfall 2 : worth it just for the campaign, I don’t know about the state of multiplayer anymore, I last played it last year, people were understandably sweaty
- Vermintide 2 : in its best state ever it seems, hours of fun and great challenges
- Firewatch : nice story, beautiful art direction
- Metro Exodus : superb open world

No worries, I deliberately played HL1 first so that I could revisit it with Black Mesa, I felt like it was still important to experience the source material

I’ve only played the demo of Darkest Dungeon 2 so no idea about the changes, I liked the cart riding segment, it’s a fun way to take breaks between battles, I’ll take a look !

I’m playing Hidden Folks (2017) on Steam Deck, to chill in the evening, it’s probably the best where’s waldo game on steam ? I don’t find the cats series is at all engaging
I also reinstalled Darkest Dungeon (2016), this time for sure I will commit to it and not stop after 3 runs 🤡
- Comment on Game of the day - Return of the Obra Dinner - did you enjoy it? 2 months ago:
I LOVED it but at that time I was not patient enough to be curious about the various clues, and investigate everything available to explore. I ended up looking for some hints on the net instead of trying harder. It’s one of the best investigative games released. I still prefer Outer Wilds and Golden Idol, but Obra Dinn has such strong narration.
- Comment on Patient gamers, what are your favorite OSTs? 2 months ago:
I’ll skip the obvious ones like Furi, Katana Zero, Hotline Miami…
Remember Me (2013) composed by Olivier Derivière
Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus (2018) composed by Guillaume David
Bastion (2011) composed by Darren Korb (anything by Darren Korb)
- Comment on Monthly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 2 months ago:
Death Crown (2019)
It’s as if a 4x was stripped down to the essentials, just you and the map and three building types, the gameplay is basically “try to overwhelm the enemy” and zerg rushing has been my winning strategy so far. Love the aesthetic though.
Narita Boy (2021)
I first played it close to release, but got bored of the story after a while, rediscovering this one on Steam Deck, the controls and combat has surprising depth !

- Comment on Steam Next Fest - October 2024 edition is now live with lots of demos 3 months ago:
Not necessarily, I think Steam only allows demos that have not previously been featured in Next Fest, but some have demos that were available before the event started.
Demos can totally be available outside, but some devs prefer to feature their demo during the event, it’s kind of a marketing step before release
- Comment on Steam Next Fest - October 2024 edition is now live with lots of demos 3 months ago:
For events/sales on Steam in general, it’s an opportunity for Publishers to showcase their games through events disguised as “sales”.
For the Steam Next Fest in particular, it’s an opportunity for Developers to show their upcoming games, and you get an absurd amount of demos available to play, for free!
For me, the Next Fest is a nice way to find interesting games, see what the indie scene has to offer, and have access to free games I can play in short sessions. Every edition, I download around 50 demos, and try to play them throughout the week (and the following week because some are still available after the event ends)
