I’m one of the weirdos that like ME… sure, I reformatted a few times. But i liked it!
- Comment on Lemmy's major collective account cake days are coming up soon. 1 week ago:
Shucks, I originally joined beehaw but they were blocking too many sites, and switched on September. Ruined my true cake day
- Comment on Here’s How That Disney 360° Treadmill Works 1 week ago:
like when the collective world went outside at the same time when Pokemon Go launched. Our quiet downtown area was amazing to walk through. all those people.

- Comment on isopods are friends 4 weeks ago:
holy cow, I was today years old when I found out they weren’t the same family.
i thought both pictures, top/bottom, were an interesting factoid where they are crustaceans… you mean to tell me the top one is a millipede?! my life is a lie.
- Comment on isopods are friends 4 weeks ago:
What was the original?
- Comment on The studio behind Journey have brought their "peaceful" MMO Sky: Children Of The Light to PC 5 weeks ago:
I only had time for 15 min, but I sure hope there’s more to it then walking and watching short clips. There’s more once I get past the “opening”, right?
I did play, and enjoy, journey.
- Comment on i tend to agree 5 weeks ago:
I thought it was Stoya that had a secretly high IQ?
- Comment on List of Printers Which Do or Do Not Display Tracking Dots 5 weeks ago:
that’s how i’ve been writing since about college, I think. My printed handwriting I mean - I so large/small caps only. It’s so much easier to read. but also my handwriting sucks.
- Comment on Just 57 companies linked to 80% of greenhouse gas emissions since 2016 1 month ago:
it’s a bit of a circular reference though, right?
Yeah those 57 cause 80% of CO2… but it’s because their gas/oil/coal companies and most of our houses and cars run off those. So we DO need to also change the end user.
- Comment on Taylor Swift among 141 new billionaires in ‘amazing year for rich people’ 1 month ago:
I promise I’m not a swifter or whatever they’re called, but “at least” Taylor has to “work” for it, if a major part of it comes from selling and performing songs? right?
Like I agree “billionaires shouldnt exist” - but she’s not high on my list of cruel offenders.
- Comment on Taylor Swift among 141 new billionaires in ‘amazing year for rich people’ 1 month ago:
post-depression new deal stuff was pretty good? right? the wealth made more sense from there until it was gutted in the 80s
- Comment on Coming to Xbox Game Pass: Diablo IV, The Quarry, Ark: Survival Ascended, and More 1 month ago:

Damnit, I came here to make this joke on an otherwise serious issue, but now I can’t because you great me to it.
I’ll get you next time, banana!
- Comment on Princess of Wales apologises for any confusion over Mother's Day family photo saying she "occasionally experiments with editing" 2 months ago:
I don’t follow that family, but this has become at least mildly interesting.
She posted an “apology”, but not the unedited image. Conspiracy thickens!
- Comment on How does this math work? 2 months ago:
OMG I do math all the time and the way the question was phrased I fell for it. (Summing balance)
I’m going to feel dumb for the rest of the day.
- Comment on Microsoft's draconian Windows 11 restrictions will send an estimated 240 million PCs to the landfill when Windows 10 hits end of life in 2025 2 months ago:
yeah, other than the obvious “haha-ing in Linux” (which… I also use Linux) - the REAL answer is people will just keep using the outdated Windows until THAT computer dies it’s natural death.
- Comment on Solar Panels Spread Across America's Heartland as Farmers Chase Stable Returns 2 months ago:
Indiana is not very eager either.
I asked about installing heat pumps and got essentially a “now why would anyone go and do that”.
Obviously depends on local contractors and I’m sure they exist.
- Comment on Someone help me make a 'transition metals' joke here... 2 months ago:
Ok, what I love, is that the “symbol” for iron (circle with NE arrow), is used as the symbol for “male”, so it’s switched here.
AND THEN, that same symbol is used by automaker Volvo… Which is awfully close to “vulva”… Which references back to female!
- Mind blown *
- Comment on Dispose of them 2 months ago:
I, OCCASIONALLY, am one of those people. And to me it makes PERFECT sense.
Most cereal, cereal then milk, hands down.
But what if I want a super crunchy bite of something like frosted flakes, or honey bunches, the entire time I’m eating it?
- Pour milk first
- Add one single layer of cereal
- Enjoy crunchy bite of cereal for every bite
- Add a fresh layer of cereal
- Enjoy crunchy bits
- Repeat until milk gone

- Comment on Fluffy 🤤 2 months ago:
yeah that’s what I thought. Grizzlies and Polars will F you up much more ‘often’ - but black bears I thought were much less aggressive (as a default) towards humans.
- Comment on Fluffy 🤤 2 months ago:
wow, I’m surprised how many fatal attacks there are from blacks. maybe it’s a “frequency x probability” thing where attacks happen so much more often, a lower chance of death still means an overall higher count.
I mean, I’m not saying we should test this more, but I generally though the black bears mostly avoided you.
- Comment on Got a Ring doorbell? Expect a 43% increase in annual subscription 3 months ago:
Yes, it hosts all the videos & screenshots.
I know we’re supposed to hate subscriptions, but until I get more cameras and self host, paying for the 1 doorbell was rather quick and simple, and temporarily worth it.
- Comment on How Albanese could tweak negative gearing to save money and build more new homes 3 months ago:
I was very confused at first, since this is how I know Albanese:
- Comment on how did "step" porn become so popular when we did such a good job keeping scat and insest porn out of the mainstream for so long 3 months ago:
yeah it seems like just a VERY quick way to say “the girl is cute and young-looking, typically petite, in a house/bedroom setting”.
you can say all that, or “step”.
- Comment on How safe is self-hosting a public website behind Cloudflare? 4 months ago:
That’s what I’m doing! I used it to make a “blog” of all the things I had to learn to switch to Linux for my home drives and daily gaming rig. Complete with copy buttons on the code blocks so I can do a complete reformat in minutes!
