- Comment on The lack of "real world complaints" and "anger" in popular music genres helps keep the masses docile 11 months ago:
i don’t treat music, or any entertainment medium, associated with reality. whenever i watch or listen to something, i want to be transported to the world the artists created.
like listeners who listens to whatever top charts now, they want escapism and we should not give a damn about it.

Earlier, I tried Google Chrome’s “profiles” but damn, how inconvenient they are. I ended up opening multiple windows.
Firefox, on the other hand, only uses a single window for multiple tab containers and accounts.
- Comment on Why aren’t motherboards mostly USB-C by now? 11 months ago:
my thinkpad has two usb-c ports, both can be used for charging. i still prefer usb-a cuz i still use peripherals and drives i have right now. im not ready throw them away for the sake of “newer ports.”

Oops. Sorry buddy! I don’t use MIUI native/built-in apps. I disabled it right away through ADB.

Xiaomi does give your data over to Chinese government. I would pick Samsung over Xiaomi any day.
Oh boy, i DonT gIve dAta tO GoveErnmen. I hope you’re using Google Pixel with GrapheneOS. Google can easily blacklist Pixel phones when it was sold outside their market.

I’m sorry but are you seriously saying Xiaomi is better privacy wise than Samsung?
Did I say I recommend Xiaomi for privacy? I’m just answering your question, and since you mentioned “Third World country,” that brand pops on me. They’re cheap, they’re functional, and last up to a day. Privacy? That I don’t know of. Most smartphones collect data anyway, unless you replace it to GrapheneOS, or any privacy-focused custom ROM.
Regarding of unlocking device, I’m just using a disposable phone number and email on my Xiaomi Account. That’s it.
- Comment on Samsung disables customer phones remotely, holds data hostage until Mexican government stepped in - YouTube 1 year ago:
Personally, I’m using Redmi Note 11 because it’s cheap and I can replace its ROM (MIUI EU or some AOSP-based ROMs).
Nothing Phone 2 is available in some third-world countries, though. If you’re on tight budget, then Xiaomi.
