It’s not their own files though. Believe me, I’m not really against piracy, but that clearly IS piracy. There’s nothing cynical about it.
- Comment on What Do People Think of Apple's Vision Pro Headsets? 2 months ago:
Ngl, I want one. But I don’t think I’ll pay for one right now haha.
I just think it’s cool. But I heard it requires you to have an iPhone. So… That rules me out.
- Comment on What are some good games with *zero* replayability? 2 months ago:
I feel like the yakuza series is fucking fantastic, but not that replayable. Usually it’s because I seek out all the substories and stuff on my first run, so it takes fucking ages to finish, but I’ve never got the urge to play it again after I’ve completed the stories.

Most people care though.
- Comment on Tipping culture npcs 2 months ago:
The thing is the consumers are paying the cost. The business owners are just taking more of the profits. They just need to pay the workers more.
And the “choice” you mention is a false one. People can’t really refuse to pay a tip, can they? They’ll get a lot of hostility from the staff (who have been brainwashed to think that it’s the customers’ responsibility). Notice that this isn’t really a thing outside the US.
- Comment on Tipping culture npcs 2 months ago:
I think you’re deliberately misinterpreting what I’m saying. I am saying they should blame the restaurant owner.
But it certainly doesn’t help the situation when the server is blaming you and being hostile because you didn’t tip enough.
- Comment on Tipping culture npcs 2 months ago:
Well if you are calling it “shirk” then it’s basically required. If it’s required why even give the illusion of a choice?
- Comment on Tipping culture npcs 2 months ago:
Well because the struggling people are blaming you when you don’t tip. They should blame the restaurant owner. But they blame the diner instead.
That’s why people take servers/waiters as the “enemy”
- Comment on Disney+ Drops 1.3 Million Subscribers Amid Price Hike, Streaming Loss Shrinks by $300 Million 3 months ago:
How do you lose money per subscriber? Surely the subscription fee each subscriber pays is enough to offset the server, labor, etc costs, right?
- Comment on What game fits this? 3 months ago:
Tropico (any of them). But I abruptly stop playing after my island starts making money consistently.
- Comment on Which OS do you use for your homeserver? 3 months ago:
I have tried it tbh. It’s not as bad as people make it out to be, I was just making a joke.
It’s just much more resource heavy than those headless Linux servers. Maybe windows server can be headless too, but I haven’t looked into it much
- Comment on Which OS do you use for your homeserver? 3 months ago:
Windows Server 2016.
Nah just joking, Ubuntu Server 23.10
- Comment on What's up with Epic Games? 4 months ago:
As someone who seldom plays with friends (I have very few who want to play online), I just pick the store where the games are the cheapest or there’s a sale or something. It doesn’t really affect me that much.
But if all your friends are on steam, then check before getting a game on Epic, sometimes they don’t let you play together. Most of the time they do, though.

Is Kanye abusive? The only thing I know about him is that he’s married to one of the kardashians. And that his kids have weird names.
- Comment on What DID Apple innovate? 4 months ago:
Agreed. They didn’t really “innovate” anything. They stole ideas from other people, and just marketed it better.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 5 months ago:
But it’s kinda weird how polarizing it’s become. I don’t remember this happening for any other two shows.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 5 months ago:
Why not both? Or none? Why are these two films compared even?

These bastards tend to refuse to put anything down in writing and insist on calling or meeting face to face because “it’s faster”. But we all know it’s so they have no accountability on what they say.
- Comment on Very few people realise how environmentally devastating this game is. 5 months ago:
Mini golf is superior and should be the default golf. As in, it shouldn’t have a descriptor. It should just be called golf.
And what is called golf now should be called big golf or field golf or something like that to show how nonsensical it is.

You can prompt an image genrater to just spit out the original art it trained on.
This is incorrect. Have you tried doing it? That’s not how AI works.

- Comment on New evidence confirms COVID-19 vaccines are overwhelmingly safe 6 months ago:
What’s the point of this? The people who already believe the vaccine is safe already know it. Those that don’t believe it’s safe aren’t gonna read this OR the report. They’ll claim it’s some sort of propaganda.
