I just want to make it clear that we don’t like Nazis either
Actions speak louder than words. Fuck Substack and fuck any platform that offers a safe haven for nazis.

- Comment on Scammers Are Tricking Anti-Vaxxers Into Buying Bogus Medical Documents 11 months ago:
I can see how plague rats would be a uniquely ideal demographic for scammers. They’re incredibly stupid and very loud about it. They probably don’t even have to try very hard to find these marks. So zero sympathy for them. I feel terrible for the medical professionals that are being impersonated to commit these crimes though. That can seriously impact their careers and reputations through no fault of their own. I can’t imagine how awful that would be.

Millennials weren’t alive when this was made 😂
You think there weren’t any millennials alive in 1992? lol

It’s a silly little thing a kid’s TV network did 31 years ago for kids. Calm down.

Muskrats are consistently the least informed people in the room when it to Elon. It’d be a lot funnier if it weren’t so damn simple to find the actual facts about him. There’s really no excusing their ignorance. It’s just willful.

What the hell Australia. This isn’t gonna magically help you prevent the next Emu war.

Oh, this one? Pendulum. Honestly! (Not Pendulum and I’ve never learned who actually did it but I have a cool unknown track in my collection
I think every gen-x/millennial has at least one napster/limewire era “white whale” song. It was awesome and you’d try to figure out who actually did it for years without ever figuring it out. Mine was a punk song listed as Dropkick Murphys but it was definitely not them. No lyric searches have ever pulled up a match.
My best guess is that it was probably a late '90s band that never had much of a following beyond whatever local/regional music scene they came from and someone uploaded it from a demo they picked up at a show or something.
- Comment on Metallica-Breakin-The-Law-Mp3.exe 11 months ago:
Yep, life was simpler back when there were only six or seven bands on the internet. Vaguely punk sounding? Well that’s obviously Blink-182. Punk but with bagpipes? Dropkick Murphys. Dude with an acoustic guitar? Oh that’s Dave Matthews Band.

- Comment on What are the best features of Lemmy that aren't available in Reddit? 11 months ago:
I still remember when reddit disabled that. It was an useful data point, especially in hobby communities or other places where it can be difficult for newbies to judge the quality of advice/answers they’re receiving so I was thrilled to see it here on Lemmy. Going by upvotes alone is not always showing showing you an accurate picture of a community’s reaction to a comment.

As of July 12th, 2023, Libreddit is currently not operational as Reddit’s API changes, that were designed to kill third-party apps and content scrapers who don’t pay large fees, went into effect. Read the full announcement here.

None of those work anymore after the API changes. Which is the entire point of my original comment.
