This is a win for brain worms in every still body of water in the US.

Commiserating
- Comment on pringles 3 months ago:
Pringles aren’t legally chips because they’re made from mashed potato dough (as opposed to slices of potato), hence why marketing calls them crisps even in the US.

Wait what if the building is a small shop that has a singular room with a toilet and sink in it? The little bookstore near my house only has 1 water closet. Those type of stores will be illegal to build from now on?
- Comment on North Korea is evading sanctions by animating Max and Amazon shows 6 months ago:
What’s more likely is Amazon and HBO contracted a South Korean studio who subcontracted a Chinese studio for some of the more mundane animations, and they proceeded to sub-subcontract a North Korean studio.
There’s a lot of outsourcing for animation, this happened like 15 years ago with Avatar: The Last Airbender, where one of the South Korean studios involved with Book 3 subcontracted some work to China (cursory Google says DR Movie, which collaborated with a Chinese studio based in Qingdao)
- Comment on Yes, ‘Australian sushi’ exists. Get over it, argues Adam Liaw 11 months ago:
I think I remember Nina Oyama saying something similar, but in a “hey this is amusingly uniquely Australian, I’m Japanese and have been to America” not “this is cultural appropriation” way.

Well yeah, we’re melting all the sea ice so hitting up Antarctica would yield you a nice vista of flowers blooming.

I definitely wouldn’t get a Flipper Zero for the purposes of theft. Allegedly it is a legal device that can be re-programmed to disable security tags and open charging ports on Tesla vehicles, which is wrong.
Definitely do not purchase a Flipper Zero and utilize it for theft or disruption. Its purposes are to open garage doors.

I’m Chinese and literally grew up with Uyghurs downstairs in Hubei, they and the Hui family around the block were the only ones with more than 1 kid.
If you’re referring to something Adrian Zenz said about 80% of new IUDs being sold in Xinjiang, he misread a decimal point 328,475 IUDs in Xinjiang out of 3,774,318. 8.7% of IUDs placed in China were in Xinjiang.
News quoted his 80% figure before he had to retract it, but it’s already in the back of people’s minds that China’s forcibly sterilizing Uyghurs.

Why would the CPC, in the same breath, exempt the Uyghurs from the One Child Policy but also force sterilization?
