When all of the copy was telling about the “high octane run and gun” nature of payday 2 I knew I’d hate payday 3. The only missions in payday 2 I enjoyed were the true stealth missions.

I use individual files with some like-services grouped together, but you interface with specific services withing a compose file by just specifying the name at the end o the command

Sounds like it’s not the game for you. Overcoming environmental challenges is kind of the name of the game, and if the baseline “cold bad but fire hot” thing isn’t something you enjoy then I’m not sure you would enjoy trying to navigate any of the main story areas in the game.
